When you said, never craft when you’re riding a bicycle, I thought,,, but maybe,, if I’m on the back of one built for two,,, lol. Also, if you would use a needle between the first tie and the second tie on a square knot, you usually can tighten it up and remove the needle as you are finishing it down to the surface. I use this when tieing off ends when quilting so I can have very little showing. Then a dot of fraycheck (or similar product) and your knot is fused to itself

My niece recently lost her kitty and she took it very hard. I just got a great idea from this for a Christmas present for her. I'm going to get her mom to send me pictures of her cat that I can cut up and use in place of your printed ones for her. I feel this would make and excellent present as a memory book for her to keep for years to come.
