+Casey Decker IMO, Vectorman did the concept better than Wall-E for several reasons; prior to them turning against him, Vectorman had some assistance from other Orbots in cleaning the Earth (hence why Earth looks half-decent in this game). Vectorman's also a fighter, not a lover, so he single-handedly takes on every enemy he comes across, whereas Wall-E's girlfriend did most of the fighting for him. Vectorman's villain is also a master Orbot-turned-evil dictator when a working nuclear missile gets attached to his body, whereas Wall-E's villain was a sentient steering wheel.

It's still slightly surprising to me when I get a reminder Vectorman isn't as popular as I thought it should be. It was a pretty big deal back in the day with my group of friends, and most of them were Genesis guys(me being Nintendo). 10+ years later and retro gaming makes a come back, and this isn't a big deal. You could also win 25 grand for beating it, but you had a certain variation of the cartridge I remember getting this game from my cousin and seeing that slapped right on the box, and then playing the game and realizing that I sucked ass at it. I agree that Vectorman is a good game but I do think the games biggest flaw is the high speed it runs at making it easy to take cheep hits from enemys who zoom in from off screen and plus it doesn't have particularly great level design with levels that get wide and difficult to traverse on the time limit you have.

Fun game overall with some nice effects and solid bosses, though I find completely unnecesary the fact that you have no continues and you start with so few lives considering the game is like an hour long; it's still not that hard but with more lives, more continues or even unnlimited continues would have been better.
@rainehappy70974 жыл бұрын
Comix Zone was the same way, but you play them over and over again until you get better at it. That's something Sega players had to deal with compared to Nintendo players.
@oscarzxn40674 жыл бұрын
@@rainehappy7097 I understand that but with Vectorman I feel is kind of poorly designed since you begin with too few lives, so you probably will not be able to advance much the first few times, especially since the game is not very difficult but has some memorization going on that can be annoying, Comix Zone at least is short and doesn't get too difficult until the third stage or so.
