Hello Elias. Thanks for making this nice tutorial. I do not use Vectornator often, but I should! Video-editing is my main hobby, and then making music. All on the iPad. Sometimes I use Keynote for making graphical things for my movies, but making a curved text is not possible with Keynote. So I followed your tutorial. I have Vectornator version 4.1.7, and a lot of things are change since the version you demonstrated, but I managed to do what you did. But have have to use the App more, and follow more (of your) tutorials! Have a nice day!

It seems that you have both Stroke and Fill color, if so, get rid of the Fill color (it might be white on your end). Hope this solves it. 😀👋

I can’t mask the curved text. It says that all of the ovals are masked but the mask button is grayed out for the text.

I can only suggest to look into the Layers panel and see what are you selecting. Try that please and see. 😀

While I couldn’t figure out how to select both layers, I did put both the text curve and oval mask on the same layer. I was then able to select everything and make a mask. Don’t get the wrong idea, please! I’m sure I did something wrong! Truly great video! Thanks you so much!

I am not sure I understand the question. You can use any font you like or any font you load into Vectornator's library of font and follow the exact process as I cover on the video. Is this what you are asking? 😀

MarissaRees No need to purchase anything, VN is a free app. The Path options is under the Style tab on the Mac. 😀

Patricio Loyola Usually when you merge two layers then you loose the ability to edit. I always keep a text copy, in case I need to use it again. 😀

Patricio Loyola I checked it out and once you apply a Type on a Path, even if you can edit your type, Tracking can not be applied. So the fix here is plan ahead for the type Tracking for example and apply Type in a Path function. Hope this helps. 😀

On the Top Left corner, tap on the X icon, that will expand it to the right of it. Inside there, tap on the gear icon and at the bottom look for the Snapping options. Hope this helps, let me know. Thank you! 😀

Hello. Thank you so much for your detailed tutorials. Can you explain how to close a shape without having to merge two paths together? If I have an open path the scissors tool understandably cuts from that point which I don't always want. Just bringing the first and last node together doesn't work even though it looks closed. A blog post I saw attempted to explain but they didn't say what tool I need to have selected to attempt this and I couldn't figure it out just by trying different tools. Thanks so much.

Milica, I usually select those two end paths and under the Paths Inspector I use the Join Paths command. Have you tried that?

Milica, try marquee select both paths using the Node Selection toll, not the Selection tool, in case you are. It should be fine after that.

Yes in general, and specifically for this project. I added colors to my palette and was able to apply those to the circles but it not as a layer like you did in the tutorial.

Mia in order to import inside Vectornator, on the top left bar called the Inspector, tap on the Plus (+) icon and at the very bottom choose the Photos option. That will give you access to all your photos inside the Camera Roll.
