I feel this song often gets overshadowed by Green Hill Zone, but it’s more nostalgic to me since I played Sonic 2 much more than Sonic 1. The drop at 1:55 was *chef’s kiss* perfection. Would love to see more Sonic remixes in the future.

When I first heard U and Player2 were collaborating (My absolute 2 favorite VGM remixers) I was so psyched. Even more so when I found out it was of my favorite sonic track of all time! This collab is such a palindrome! Vector U + Player 2 just rolls off the tongue, but equally as much as Player 2 + Vector U! Imma be real with you, I was a bit letdown when I listened. Not because it sounded bad, but I thought "Player2" meant that you mashed it with the 2-Player version of the track as well. I was listening the whole time waiting for it. The odds of another guy you would work with being called "Player2" when Emerald Hill Zone has a 2-Player version of the course music is such a small chance that I would have never thought anything else. I suppose maybe cause it said "Ft." but even then, I figured you meant it'd have a bit of the 2-Player version in there, lol. Do not confuse this with disliking it, though. Again, I said earlier it sounded good. Coincidences can happen, I suppose.
