Vectorworks 1: Intro, Basics, and Workspace Tutorial

I've watched a couple "intro to vectorworks" videos and none have been as accessible and clear as this one! I'm a college student and this is an amaing way to get to know a software that I can use, thank you!

Hello. Can you help me? I don't have the "Event design" tab at the top. I can't find how to enable it anywhere.

You might be in a different workspace (such as Architect, Landmark, etc.) You want to be in "Spotlight" if you're doing theatrical work. Go to TOOLS on the top menu and drop it down. At the very bottom of the dropdown, you'll see WORKSPACES. From there, you have several selections. Make sure you select SPOTLIGHT. Hopefully this brings it up for you.

The interface has changed quite a bit (I don't love the new icons and layout) and there are a few different operations, but in general, the workflow is very similar.
