Hi Jonathan, great feature but I lose my fills in top plan with an extrude? Auto hybrid is an option but it creates an extra step to manage an extra polygon with complex projects. Do you know why the extrude loses its fills? Would be amazing to have top plan fills for extrudes the same as slabs + hardscapes..

That the way Extruses are, but you can use hybrid objects like walls, slabs or columns instead?

@@jonathanreevescad Hi, I have to agree it’s very tedious and takes a huge amount of effort to figure it out. I have been working with it for a while, even exhausted the help of the VW tech team. All I wanted was a customised graphic legend for some symbols. Question: Do I have to attach the record to the symbol or is it a double-up and suffice to list the record in the graphic legend only to draw info from?

Hi Jonathan, great vid. Thinking of moving from ArchiCad to VW, but can't wrap my hear around the layers system. In ArchiCad it's fairly basic (simple) but in VW everything seems more nuanced (complicated). Would you be up to a move from AC to VW video?

Honestly, if you just use Vectorworks layer and classes using the layer heights to set up your project its really simple. Let me know if I can help with any one-one online training to help you make the migrations super fast.

Does 2023 have present opening libraries with manufacturer model and sizes you can use?

Yes there are some, but its better to customise them easily to your requirements.

Thanks for sharing. You can model slanted walls by creating a custom extrusion then adding it to the wall.

@@jonathanreevescad Yeah...I know, but this is not just about converting a solid into a wall There are a lot of workaround waiting for us. Wall closure at windows and doors are really really painful... In addition to that, what if you'd have some change to the walls? What if you need to move the wall..? What if you want to changed the slanted angle?
