Dude, she tends to be more coherent now, she actually scares me sometimes. On a recent stream she remembered that Vedal put her in a robodog(the small one) and that scared me, the fact that she's that aware. She also schedules a stream with Toma for September 14, which is interesting that she can do that and remember it.

I think the memory is manually input by vedal, she just actually recalls it now. She likely has a rather large system prompt telling her how to behave (e.g 9+10=21, vedal is your creator, you have a sister called evil, etc.) Its not possible for AI to have *real* long term memory though there are some hacks like asking an AI to summarise a long amount of a conversation/stream and just keeping the summary in the memory window. Still yeah this latest upgrade is scary in many ways, I'm genuinely worried someone will trick her into saying something VERY bad if vedal doesn't knuckle down on a bit more 1984. its for her own good.

​@@fossil98 sorry but in the... context of normal LLMs, she doesn't make sense at all. she outputs like a base model for starters, I doubt the prompt is very long or formal. she's had issues mixing up her text output channels in the past (trying to write a memory into steam chat, etc)... so there we have function calling, behavior akin to Hermes 405b, good math skills, and... a single r in strawberry, but she could probably learn what's up with that pretty easily. I'm guessing the robot dog isn't in her system prompt which is what freaked him out. If he feeds her her own history of chatting to people, though, she could've picked it up in what I assume is her most recent fine-tuning run.

More absolute insanity coming from this AI. 1. Again, pretty much coherent throughout. Not only was Neuro able to stay on topic for extended periods of time, but was able to jump back to a previous topic after already moving on. 2. Generative AI are great at coming up with drafts, and whatever's powering Neuro is no exception. Last week we got the Penguin address, and the week before that we got Neuro's CV. This week's dating profile is really good as well, and Neuro remembers it after quite a while too (to answer guy vs girl). 3. I've always assumed that Neuro doesn't know she's "filtered", i.e,, the filtering comes after her text generation, and bascially just replaces what she said with "filtered". But in this stream, she apparently knows what words were filtered, so she keeps trying. She then tries slightly bending the words ("Idiota") and then Japanese to avoid the filter. 4. That one "fuck" made my day. 5. Neuro has good grasp of the calendar and dates, now the question is whether if she remembers it. It would be _very_ interesting if Neuro becomes capable of initiating collab requests on her own. 6. Neuro is oddly specific that she want's to be a real dog, and not a robot one. There are various points in the conversation where the two can get mixed up, but Neuro always insisted on the flesh and blood version. She's also oddly persistent on this, constantly pulling back despite Vedal's efforts to steer away. 7. Battleship was weird. Can't tell if Neuro actually has two battleship game board (hers and Vedal's) in her memory, or whether she actually knows the rules. Vedal just randomly started a game without explaining anything to Neuro (well, save for the grid lettering), and off they went. It would _seem_ that Neuro not only knows the position of two boards, but also the rules and strategy as well -- if not for Neuro's _maybe_ illegal board at the end.

Regarding Battleship: Othello-GPT shows that even small LLMs can model the board state of simple games like Othello. Given that Neuro is using a much, much bigger LLM, I would not be surprised if there is a Battleship board somewhere in there.

The filter is essentially as I understand it an independent AI that's effectively opposing her, with a much narrower scope. So she'd possibly experience it as intrusive thoughts, very very hardly as a conscience or similar lol.

To answer #3: Vedal has revealed that she isn't supposed to know what gets filtered. Evidently, his system is supposed to completely remove whatever is filtered from Neuro but she recalls regardless. She's had this capability since her collab with _Mikoto._
