A subgoal to release the game is totally disconnected from the revenue from the game. Also, he's breaking his prior commitment to release the game this year.

Big woop people delay releases all the time and I don't recall there ever being a kickstarter for it. A verbal commitment isn't law binding nor does he have any real obligation if the people involved aren't demanding their money (none have, as far as I've seen) It's not really related to Neuro's channel, it's his own personal project. I'd rather he just release it whenever he thinks it's done.
