I don’t see what’s off. Sometimes it feels like a big part of the swarm has never watched vtubers. Anny herself has a bunch of short hair toggles where the ‘mass’ disappears. Or she could have it even longer. Most vtubers in their outfit reveals commonly have pretty different hairstyles from their original. The fact that they don’t have to follow realism and can have different kinds of hairstyles, cuts, and outfits is the fun part about being a vtuber. I, for one, would love the twins to have a variety of cute toggles to pick and choose from. I’m sure Anny will get around to giving her a ponytail at some point

The way a vtuber model is made is by staking tons of layers on top of each other and moving + stretching them all in different ways. Things like the skin, each part of the face, different sections of the hair and each of her limbs are all separated into different layers. When Vedal is changing her hair, what he's doing is changing the visibility of the layers that were always there but just never seen. At least that's how it works with outfit changes on a standard Vtuber, Vedal mentioned having to reset neuro for an update as he changed her hair, so I'm unsure if he's swapping out the model entirely for a new one with modified hair while she's off screen.
