Many of Voids bases actually have nobody in them. They are destroyed as soon as you enter the screen and they have amazing implants in stock.

Very nice. VOID are absolutely FORMIDABLE. They'll be a terrible enemy to face, but very satisfying to beat. You have a very good mix of mods there. EDIT: They don't turn hostile until the messengers deliver their message by speaking to one of your guys. If they do not die on your map and you don't get them killed (somehow) and still don't deliver their message, they stay neutral. So, what I do is, I open up devmode, and hit them with the PanicFlee command. They panic (existential dread, IDK), flee off the map, and leave me alone. If they should show up again, I do the same, until I am ready to face them. At one point, about 2 years ago, I had 6 melee specialists with Fighter classes from Rimworld of Magic. Their gear and bionics weren't the best of the best, but they were good. They took out 6 VOID guys guarding an item stash. One leg lost, 6 enemy KIA. It CAN be done. And I'll do it again.

Is Rimatomics considered an OP mod? I suppose the energy generation might be a bit crazy but the investment in tech, steel, components, and the danger of radiation seems to help balance it out when I used it. Except for nukes. Those are a bit OP. I feel like to balance that, have Randy Random style events of your colony being targeted by a nuclear hostile power and having a time limit to invade and stop it or use diplomacy to make them allies might help balance that out.

Not strictly true, Cassandra attacks you regular as clockwork, every 6 - 8 days, but Randy can send multiple raids on the same day, and can send 50% bigger raids, but occasionally he falls asleep for months at a time, then awakens with a bang. It all depends what you prefer, regular raids with enough time to recover, or completely random?

Hahaha I've been playing a similar modded playthrough. Lot of op mods vs void, keep dying early game, but I'll eventually squeeze my way through, biggest issues is the semi random research that limits me alot in early game. Btw i use Aotc mods, makaitech, antimatter, glittertech, rimatomics, op biotech mods, and more stuff. Just a pity i keep getting nuked b4 i even research pemmican

2 windmills and 1 woodgen made it work, I upgraded its dmg by 20 and it decimated a empire raid, plus you can upgrade their armor penetration which is op. cots like 30 compo and a few metals like its cheap. But you do need to research for it which is annoying since my researchers are busy playing poker all the time and when i trap them in the research room they go in a tantrum and destroy the multi ana and the research bench.

I've just started watching this guy but I've noticed he always builds circular or oval bases, is there a reason for that? It seems like they have less inner space than a similarly sized square room for just as many if not more walls. I mean, it doesn't even seem that easily expandable because you have to do a lot more planning as well. I've always used an expandable square pattern and comparing the two it seems better in every way. Is there something I'm missing? Why the complicated layout?
