With the deep drills you can also drill up stone chunks from stone ground... I'm not sure how it determines which type of stone you get. On my current world, it's sandstone. Edit: For anyone confused by why I say this, it's because those meteors changed the ground type from sea ice to rocky ground.

Having some psychite tea or smokeleaf reserved for situations like the aftermath of 2:02:00 works wonders. Instant mood buff, and in the case of tea actually makes your pawn a bit more productive. The debuff from smokeleaf is still preferable to mental breaks.

ground penetrating scanners used to just reveal all of the resources on the map, and there was a finite number of deposits. Now, according to the wiki, work done by researchers actually generates deposits, so you can get a theoretically infinite amount of resources, so it is sort of possible to make a profit manufacturing weapons, even in the base game, which surprised me. Also, if you deep drill without scanning or keep deep drilling on a spot with no more resources, the drill won't generate stone chunks on sea ice (since it's supposed to be floating ice). I think if you look up the sea ice challenge on the wiki now, they do mention the possibility of deep drilling though, which does seem like a new thing really.

I think one of the biggest differences is the game itself. "X days in Minecraft" will never have the same appeal as "X days in Rimworld" for the dynamic and emergent essence of the second game, especially with Randy on the highest difficulty. The crazy events that take place in games like Rimworld or Crusader Kings create a story in themselves. Obviously I'm not belittling veequeue's narrative and editing, which are top notch. I've just recently got to know the channel and I'm already binge watching pretty much every video. I'm just pointing out that he made a wise choice in combining this video theme with the games he usually plays.
@jennibeck1 Жыл бұрын
@@ThinkBeyondOrdinary i agree with you in most situations however there are a few times that i have seen "I have spent xxx days in minecraft" done well. It usually just boils down to the skill of the person playing it and the mods or challenges they face. If everything is too easy for them its boring, if they act just dumb its boring, if they make or do nothing interesting when they aren't struggling its boring. But when it's done well it's done really well. That's just my opinion thought i'd share it. Also please excuse my bad grammar english is not my first language.

Why do you even care about off-map sun blockers and smoke spewers? Yes, they lower the amount of light that plant life on your tile gets but the only plant on your tile is rice which is grown around a sun lamp anyway. So such events are virtually harmless for you while preventing actually dangerous troublecausers (like EMI dinamos) from spawning
