​@Sajith Kc For anybody mothertongue is special because it's mother tongue, we need not read too much into it. Rating one language over others gives leeway to chauvinist tendency. All languages have their own beauty, richness and tradition and are to be respected, treated in the same page. This song in Malayalam also is equally good, let it be seen that way. I'm a tamil, read in tamil medium. I find all my known languages fascinating, be that Hindi, English, Urdu or Malayalam.

The power of Darbari Kanada Raagaa. Only few musicians like ARR, VidyaSagar, Ilayaraja can handle and use this Raagaa very well. Malayalam cinemas often using this raaga from 80s. Lot and lot of songs composed in this raaaga in malayalam.

pure goosebumps when u hear the song. during the movie, we all thought it will come at the end, but u hear it right at the beginning. and then WHAT A MASSIVE TWIST ?at the end?? The entire song was meant for a coronation of a king, and when u see what happens such a huge shock. really wanted to whistle the moment ponniyin selvan makes that huge proclamation. i believe there must be a PS3, We have to see the story and reign of RAJA RAJA CHOLA and his great son RAJENDRA CHOLA as well.
