Nice thought to take your radio to the park. I live in a metro area and the park is about the only wide open space in the area. Great radio.

Thanks. The RF interference in the house is pretty bad. Switch mode power supplies are everywhere. Even on my power strip that has 5v USB ports. Thanks for the comment.

What is it about playing around with a foreign radio I always expect what comes out to be in that language. Always fun exploring new and different radios like this especially those with 'turner mechanisms'. LOL

The turret tuner, like a TV tuner, was cool to see. The other radio featured in the first unboxing video (VEF 317) had the same thing. BTW, the seller in Ukraine which shango mentioned in his video, which set that whole series in motion, is a really nice guy. We have corresponded a few times since. I wanted folks to see that the deal went through and the items arrived just fine from Ukraine. As he has said, the radios are solid performers. Thanks

@@PracticallyFixed Yeah I worked on quite a few sets with those types of tuners i them back in the day. I saw the same Shango video and we ended up buying diodes from an eBay seller in Ukraine as well. With the things going on we were skeptical, but we got the diodes and they were exactly as described. We plan on buy more soon. :)

Ok great. The guy shango mentioned was especially interested in if I could get the clock working. He asked me to let him know if I attempted it. Kinda felt I needed to give it a go after that. After I posted the repair and sent him the link, he said he had forwarded the YT link around to his pals in Ukraine who all enjoyed it. That was gratifying to me. I also got some Ukraine hits in my analytics after that which was cool. Imagine that for a minute, with what is going on, they were interested in a video of some guy in Texas working on that clock. Food for thought. Thanks
