just bought a loads of meat to feed my cats and many other stray cats

I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say here. How exactly is buying loads of meat for cats relevant to a conversation about veganism and animal rights activism? Please, enlighten us.

Ah, OK, I see. Just casually dropping by a vegan post to mention how your grocery list consists of paying for the murder of animals to feed other animals. Congrats on the “good deed” of the day.

Do you boycott pesticides?
@fitvegan_activistАй бұрын
Nice try, but veganism is about ending animal exploitation, not getting sidetracked by pesticides. Are you this worried about the pesticides used for animal feed, or just when it suits you?
@redbriarn6295Ай бұрын
@@fitvegan_activist so the answer is no you pay farmers to buy and use pesticides to murder animals, birds and insects… so killing animals for food is ethical
@MindVersusMiseryАй бұрын
@@redbriarn6295 The answer is Go vegan and veganise agriculture on all levels, especially animal agriculture, but plant agriculture as well.
@fitvegan_activistАй бұрын
@@redbriarn6295 Your argument is a classic example of the *appeal to futility fallacy* the idea that because it's impossible to avoid all harm, intentional exploitation of animals is justified. Veganism, as a principle, seeks to *end the intentional use and exploitation of animals* for food, clothing, or any other purpose. The harm caused by pesticides, which is largely unintentional, is not the same as deliberately breeding, exploiting, and killing animals for profit. Animal agriculture systematically breeds animals into existence for the sole purpose of exploiting them, creating suffering and death on an unimaginable scale. Even if some incidental harm happens in plant farming, that doesn't justify *deliberately* perpetuating a system that directly profits from the exploitation and killing of sentient beings. If someone used this logic for human exploitation, we'd reject it outright. So why cling to it when it comes to non-human animals?
