I used to have bananaphobia - it was truly horrible! I felt super nauseated and had to run out of the room if anyone had a banana or if I smelled one! I couldn’t even read or hear or say the word. But I’ve been able to work past it, and I’ve recently been making (vegan) bananas foster. Im in love! I was just thinking it would make an amazing cake/filling, so I searched....how did I know you must’ve already done it! This might be my Thanksgiving dessert! ❤️

Hey Gretchen... completely loved d cake...hats off to u...pores n moist and a mixture of fluffiness n dense...more towards fluffy side though...well this I baked with normal materials I.e non vegan and stilllllll d results r 😍😍😍😍😍😍.... just wondering how awesome towesome it would be with d material it is supposed to be baked with...now mud cake or d orange cake (without oranges though as I ain't getting any in lockdown) in nxt two days. Just a suggestion or a request may b ..please make an online paid course or something on how to start home baking bzness which covers everything on all how to's of baking business , serving sizes, pricing, transportation etc etc from all d experience u have. Hey Gretchen, Why do you prefer the Follow Your Heart egg replacer to the alternatives you listed? Does it add flavour or something? I've been really curious about whether it can replace the custard flavour typically added to baked goods by egg yolks. I've never tried it myself. PS, love your videos!

I don't have one favorite for all recipes. I like different egg replacers for different recipes as they all give slightly different results. I am formulating a course for vegan baking that addresses egg replacers specifically and will show all different applications of each egg replacer available right now and how they work in recipes - stay tuned and THANKS!

Why don't add (a little) salt in the caramel or with the caramelized bananas? For balace? But anyway... it looks amazingly delicious 😋😊😍

I find earth balance buttery sticks to be salty and I use that for my buttercream, so I don't like adding extra or it becomes to salty (in my opinion) thanks!

Was checking on vegan vanilla cake too..that has 4 tbspn of flax seeds too but water used is 150 ml...so just wanted to mk sure that water measurements can differ n there is no Std water measurement for each spoon of flax seed.

I dont have too much experience with GF baking, but I think Bob's Red Mill sells a 1:1 ratio AP GF flour so I think it should be fine
