Gosh Chris...brings tears to my eyes and feeling quite choked up for what you do for Indy to help him pass over. So comforting. Wish I would have done that for my 13 year-old lab Bella who passed 3 years ago. I did give her a big pink lipstick kiss on her forehead right before we helped her pass to let her know I was with her as she transitioned. Sending safe passage thoughts to your sweet boy.

It's so hard to let go of the things that were a part of the ones who have gone ahead of us. I'm in the midst of the 27th anniversary of my husband's death, and although the pain is only a fraction of the original it still hits me this time of year. You will always love and miss Indy, but I promise that the acute pain will lessen in time.

I have to put my sweet almost 16-year-old kitty boy down tomorrow. My heart is so broken; I can’t imagine life without him. I’m dreading having to get rid of things that don’t make sense to keep but remind me of him. Thanks for sharing this hard part of the process.

My 16 year old Puggle Lola passed away almost one year ago and I still miss her crawling under the covers and just being my constant companion. I have 4 other dogs but it’s still unreal how big the hole in my life shes left behind. Knowing I gave her the best life possible is what helps me get through it and I hope the knowledge that you gave Indy such love and comfort (honestly, beyond what most people would do) brings you some sense of peace. It’s so heartbreaking our animal companions don’t live as long as we do 💔 rest in peace Indy

My Jack Russell died yesterday. She was 16 years old. It's been really tough without her. We were best friends. Your videos have helped so much. When I get up in the morning and I'm missing her so much, I come to your channel. It really helps. Indy was a special dog.

I've been hoping you're doing better, Chris. Focusing on movie stuff and hanging with friends must alleviate, but don't push yourself. For my people, for 40 days after a passing is when the soul is gradually entering the Next World, hovering between it and ours. I understand this ritual. Enjoyed the vlog. Honestly, the part where you bend down on the hill to pick up the thing you thought was a mushroom seemed very suspenseful to me. Like the start of a sequel . . . Thanks for posting!

Thank you for sharing that vlog with us. I understand how hard it can be to remove items that remind us of our loved ones from our life. It took me 4 yrs to wash a blanket that had my kitty's fur on it. Take as much time as you need to grieve. We are here for you.

Unsolicited anecdote: It's been well over a decade since all of the longtime animal companions i shared my life with have passed. Lucky - 20 years Domino - 20 years Mr. Pooch - 15 years Sally - 15 years Cali - 17 years Smoke - 14 years I miss them all in ways i never imagined i would. I love the idea of continuing to honor their memory by setting out food for a time after a loved one passes. I WISH i would've done that. Not wanting to remove the pool of water you have, breaks my cold dead heart. Give yourself time to adjust to your emotions. I understand how it can feel.

I know how you feel about the pool water. Having lost someone close to me there are reminders everywhere in our house. I feel so protective of objects in such a way that I never would have expected. It’s a little odd but I guess it’s just a part of the grieving process.

Checking in after years. I’ve been thinking about you and Jon quite a bit recently . I have the gyro seitan recipe saved In a shitty vegan cookbook. I remember Indy getting scraps while you guys were cooking. You guys were so influential in my early 20s. In like a dad/brother way to me when my family couldn’t understand veganism. Idk. My heart. It’s broken. Thank you for the ground I stand on. I only hope Indy can give back to the earth what you all gave me.

Oh No. have you stopped making videos? I just discovered you. It’s been 3 months. Hopefully you will be back soon. My Dougal passed away August 1st so obviously I’m still mourning his loss. I have a 1 year old Chihuahua I’m trying to convert to a Vegan diet. I didn’t have much luck with my previous two dogs as they were already a few years old when I went Vegan. But she is scratching a lot too. So I’m starting the transition now that I have your recipe. Gotta buy a super sized pot first. Rest in Peace Indy and Dougal. Please come back soon.

Sorry for your loss. 😢 The Dino nuggets are good! I bought them for my friends daughter because she likes dinosaurs lol. My favorite nuggets used to be Morningstar Farms for the past 25+ yrs until I had Notco Not Chicken Nuggets! They are the best and they also have dinosaur nuggets too! 😍 I agree, some vegan nuggets are horrible. I don't like Gardein, Beyond or Nuggs. I saw online that Tyson has plant based nuggets but I haven't found them near me yet!! Target has them but they are out of stock! I want to try them!

What’s the best mock meat you’ve had that slow fat I can’t stand feeling sluggish after eating anything with a lot of dietary fat, Carbs FTW!! 💪💪💪

What do you consider to be low fat? Gardein products are pretty good and unless you cook with oil I don't think there's too much fat from what I can recall.

@@Ralph_Roberts they will definitely be too high and fat under 10 g of fat per day, gives you the best insulin sensitivity focusing on fruit, baked potatoes, no oil, steamed rice, boiled corn pasta with lean tomato sauce and sugarcane juice is the best diet

@COACH-CARBOHYDRATE wow that is low. Sense it's an insulin issue, I'm guessing there's no point in recommending the items with 6 or 7 grams for one meal of the day and watching the other meals more closely because you'd not want all that fat at once. But the ground be'f is only 1.5 per serving and their chick'n soups are 4 and 4.5 per can so there's that at least from gardein. Butler soy curls make a fine addition to many dishes and they're 5 per serving but you could just use a little less.

I hope it's just my imagination, but it seems like Zeke isn't getting the same type of love that Indy got. I'm not sensing that Chris is all that close to Zeke. Boy, I hope that's not the case.

Zeke gets lots of love. It’s just a different bond. Chris had Indy since he was a puppy and cared for him when he was sick. Zeke was adopted by Chris’ roommate Rachel. I’m on another platform where I see them interacting daily. Zeke is loved very much 🥰
