#yomequedoencasa is our motto lately, so enjoy cooking in these times and take the opportunity to discover new flavors with us. Cook this #quesovegano with the fine herbs that will leave you wanting more and bread. We leave you the ingredients and the step by step below:
INGREDIENTS mix at room temperature:
200 ml of vegetable milk (we use rice but choose any unsweetened vegetable drink)
40 g of raw cashews (also roasted or peeled and raw almonds)
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil (optional)
1 tbsp of nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon and 1/2 of tapioca powder (tapioca starch that you get in large supermarkets or herbalists)
1 tablespoon of white miso paste (in herbalists, it gives a lot of flavor but is optional)
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
1 tsp of salt
· We crush these ingredients at room temperature, that is, they are not cold from the fridge.
· Now we are going to add:
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp rosemary
4 large leaves of fresh cut basil
· Mix and set aside.
· Now we are going to mix on the other hand in a saucepan (but not yet heated):
160 ml of water of the time (cold NO)
10 g of agar agar
· After 5 minutes we are going to add the mixture of fine ices twice. First half while stirring and when everything is well mixed add the second part.
· Let cook 5 minutes more without stopping stirring, until you see how the mixture thickens until it has a creamy texture, like melted cheese.
· We extinguish the fire and we are going to place it in our glass container.
· We choose a circular one because we like that it has that shape to cut wedges and portions. You put it in the container of your choice.
· There is no need to put oil or anything so that it does not stick, because once it solidifies it takes off great.
· Pour the mixture and let it warm for about 30 minutes.
· When the 30 minutes are up, we are going to put it in the fridge for 1 more hour so that it fully sets.
· Take it out of the fridge. Take off the lid and pat it down the sides a bit to peel it off.
· Place a plate or a flat surface on top and turn the container over with a few taps so that it comes off completely.
· You can now enjoy your #vegan cheese with fine herbs as you prefer, with bread, in salads and even in pizzas, how hungry!
