Yes, we are lucky to live in a low population area where there have been minimal cases (none in the last three weeks) so we are not required to wear masks. We did have some with us just in case we were asked to wear them.

Well over here in Guadalajara, it’s over 4 million habitants so, probably we’ll be wearing mask everywhere for the rest of the year, there’s not many cases, but it’s increasing day by day, anyway stay safe, it’s great to see some places coming back to “normal”

Not required anywhere but I assume it depends where you live/the store in the rest of Canada. We live on the west coast in an area with a smaller population. There have been no cases for about 3 weeks now.

What we do is just put all of the groceries back into the shopping cart after they are scanned in. Then take them to the car and put them into our reusable bags. No way in hell im using plastic bags. EDIT wait... why no face masks ?! 😷

U can reuse plastic bags as your garbage bags. Defeats the purpose of banning plastic bags and then buy GLAD plastic bags for your household garbage bin. U can't drop everything in Green or Blue bins.

I’ve made chocolate hummus at home and it’s so good. Below is the recipe if you want to try it. 1 15 oz can unsalted chickpeas drained and rinsed 1/4 cup cacao powder or cocoa (cocoa is roasted and cacao is raw) 1/4 cup maple syrup 1 tsp vanilla extract alcohol-free preferred. Or you could use almond extract. 3-4 Tbl unsweetened non-dairy milk 2 Tbl tahini 1/4 tsp sea salt Combine all ingredients in a food processor or high speed blender until desired texture. I personally like it fairly smooth. I used my vitamix and it worked great. You can eat it right away, but I think it’s better after it’s been in the fridge for a little bit. The chocolate taste in it reminds me of dark chocolate.

I was thinking about the plastic, too - I only just found your channel and I was hoping you guys weren't using the plastic grocery bags etc. I was kind of worried, but then you brought out the bins! And I completely understand the balance of avoiding plastic but also having a full range of options yknow? I think you're completely right, there's no way to avoid packaging - there's no way to avoid shipping either, or the inefficient farming that goes into producing food (wasting water, pesticides, herbicides, etc.). I think you're doing what you can with what you have, and that's great! The only thing I wanna mention is, I think you should use your platform not only to convert people to veganism (which seems to be working quite well!!), but also participating in government when possible to mitigate the effects of pollution. I'm from the United States, so I don't really know what options there are to help in Canada, but definitely something to look into - and again, I really like that you guys aren't taking more personal responsibility than necessary in this. After all, it's not _us_ wrapping everything in plastic, producing shit nobody wants etc. But again, I would appreciate it if you were to advocate more in government to make those changes happen :)

Amy's Roasted Vegetable pizza, no cheese is delicious if you haven't tried it. We add our own veggies on top - baby kale, mushrooms, tomatoes, and anything else that sounds yummy then bake it. I just watched a couple of carnivore grocery hauls out of curiosity. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Had to ask one where they got the fiber for their gut microbiome. One of the good things about summer in Alabama is that there are plenty of locally-grown vegetables and fruit at roadside stands and farmers markets. Less expensive than in grocery stores, and much better taste.

When I lived in BC 15 years ago. The recycling was excellent. So plastic isn’t too terrible when you have such good recycling options. In the lower mainland anyways 😊 Unfortunately I now live in the greater Edmonton Alberta area and the recycling sucks compared to BC 😞

Great video! Vegan kimchi is very easy to make, especially if you already make sauerkraut. Just wear gloves so you can thoroughly coat the cabbage leaves! You'll see videos on KZbin of Korean women making giant batches in baby pools lol. Chocolate hummus is actually delicious! We started seeing it in the States ~3 years ago. Doesn't have the savory spices and stuff regular hummus has, kinda more plain chickpea + chocolate flavor. Great for dipping strawberries!

Super healthy Though... eating anymore for a long-period of time can become poisonous. I do the same thing, I'm from a small town in northern Wisconsin and we dont have much in the way of groceries so one a month I go down to green bay to get groceries. And also it's so ridiculous that people try to police people all the time about what they eat if they dont eat %100 clean and give people shit for buying packaged things with plastic. Everyone gets enjoyment in different ways and as long as people do there best with plastic with being able to maintain being happy in life with there diet and just do there best for waste level and while foods. That's all people should ask for
