I just made my own vegan gummies using agar-agar, it worked especially when I removed it to the molds. However how do I prevent it from being watery when storing them?
@Raid_init5 ай бұрын
you can't this is the price you pay for not using gelatine.

How long will they last for before going bad ? I’d keep them in a glass jar : a place nice & cool so the temp doesn’t fluctuate so I can avoid the risk of them melting .
@PattonScr2 жыл бұрын
Sadly not long. I saw a recipe for these agar gummy bears on another website and the author said they lasted for about a week. Edit: A week in a fridge.
@DeniseNicole32 жыл бұрын
@@PattonScr thank you 😊. Hopefully they do taste really yummy so my family can devour them in less than a week 🌻

Just a reminder anything we make homemade only last a week or three days

Excelente si no tengo ese molde por cual lo puedo remplazar??

You can use a silicone cake mold/baking tray or a non-flexible container lined with plastic wrap to create a narrow layer of vegan jelly, remove it from the pan and cut it into small squares/rectangles.

Are they chewy as that made with gelatin? Agar does not give the chewy effect as far as I know
@ElaVegan2 жыл бұрын
No, they aren't because there is no gelatin.

@ElaVegan2 жыл бұрын
No, they are not, as there is no gelatin.

i mean lets not lie, these aren't gummies. this is more like weird jello that crumbles when you bite into it...
@Raid_init5 ай бұрын
Vegans can't have it both ways.. No gelatin - No gummy texture
@themishaawesome5 ай бұрын
@@Raid_init Eh, there are plenty of commercially available gummy candies that are vegan, so obviously it is possible to have this. It's only a matter of being able to come up with a recipe for making it at home.
