No, hence it says in the top comment and description box to swap honey for agave or maple for vegan version. Traditional honey cake is with honey :)

Description says VEGAN honey cake while you're using HONEY. So misleading. I know you mentioned that we can use maple/ agava syrup but how it actually will turn up while you're using honey. The consistency of honey compared to maple syrup still slightly different cause honey is thicker.

And yet, like you said, I mention it. A traditional Honey cake is what this recipe tries to mimic. Just like when you buy vegan mince,. Is that mince, or is that misleading too? You have the option to use whatever you want depending on your dietary requirements. There is no better substitute for honey in vegan diet, so I am giving you the best alternatives. Somehow that is still not enough :)
