Awesome! Could you do this with a dark honey? We have honey from my husband's grandfather that is dark and has a molasses type flavor or do you think caramelizing the dark honey would make it taste to burnt? We have 5 gallons of this honey and I am looking for recipes to use with it.
@АнКо-п5л5 жыл бұрын
Sarah Nuernberger we usually use mostly dark honey because it gives brown colour to the biscuit and flavour.. the cake wouldn't taste burnt . Sorry for my English!

I will try making the cake following your recipe next time, just to explore a new taste. Thank you.

Just made this and can’t wait to try it tomorrow. (FYI : For those of you who - like me - might live in countries where no heavy cream cannot be found, I found a recipe that includes cream cheese and replaced the heavy cream in this one with that. The frosting tasted great. The only issue what that it was not as thick as the one shown here, but I think it’s just a question of adjusting it. For a first-time thing (and considering I have no manual skills whatsoever) I think it turned out great.

Thank you for sharing this recipe. Ever since I had this cake, it’s been my favorite but so hard to find in U.S. I had eaten two flavors of it and thought that it used caramelised condensed milk for cream between layers. I’m intrigued and want to try.
