Thanks for watching friends! ❄ What’s your favorite comfort meal for a snowy day? Or, if you eat differently from your family, how do you make it work? I’d love to hear your tips and ideas!"

I'm a Cajun who eats mostly WFPB. I had gumbo for our sneaux event! Made a roux w/o oil, using flour browned in the oven. I typically add in homemade seitan sausage and red beans. Scratches the itch!

@ I’ve heard of making a roux this way - I need to try it. Sounds great!

Hi Tia. I’m a new subscriber from FL☀️ I’m loving how simple yet delicious your recipes are❤️ Also, I love your view on setting an example for your family, but not forcing them to only eat plant based. I’m in the same boat. It’s refreshing to see😊

Welcome!! So happy you enjoyed this video and you subscribed. Yeah, there are so many of us “mixed” eating families out there and not enough content - hoping to change that ❤ glad you’re here.

Hi Tia, thanks for another great video. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen Bobby Dean’s not my mama’s recipes. He has a really great gumbo recipe that he uses okra to thicken up the stock. So I follow his recipe except I don’t use the regular chicken and sausage of course. That might be something to look into. Even my picky husband who’s not plant base loves it.

Awesome. I will check it out for sure. Thanks for the recommendation.

Your videos are awesome. I’m in the same boat. I am mostly plant based and my family is not. It’s nice to hear about the same struggles I have faced. Your videos have given me some simple meals to help keep me on track. And I’m here in Austin too. ❤

Another awesome video Tia and it made the day better after a rainy 🌧️ stormy day in Scotland staying indoors because it is a red warning storm and been advised to stay indoors. Yummy 😋 vegan whole plant foods and love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Tia.

What is your yummy sauce? I’ve always been vegetarian and my family is not! So I’m used to cooking 2 meals, but really I cook veggies and a meat for my husband, since now we are empty nesters .

Thanks for sharing. Dips and sauces are the best for this way of eating. What brand of onion mix did you use for your dip? Im not finding a clean one.
@HealthyVeganMama8 күн бұрын
I’m not sure the name of mine…maybe simply organic. I get it at Whole Foods. You can also make your own…onion and a little garlic powder - maybe a little salt or soy sauce.

I have been trying to follow this way of eating for years! I felt horrible and hungry all the time. I just started eating meat a lot and it has changed my life! I don’t understand why. Does anyone else have a similar experience? i am really going to die eating red meat all the time?
@HealthyVeganMama4 сағат бұрын
It’s easy to not eat enough calories on a plant based diet. I was that way for years and then, for me, I finally stopped being afraid of carbs and began eating more potatoes, beans, rice, etc and I’m stuffed all the time. Happy you found something that works for you.
