You are SO prolific! I keep seeing your recipes that I haven't watched yet lined up and I am constantly delighted by your ability to veganise just about everything. You are my new vegan guru. I bow to your ingenuity

I used to make joong with my grandmother when I was young. Your recipe is perfect for WFPB way of eating. Thanks for the suggestion about the sweet potato subbing for the salty egg yolk. It was perfect. I have already make 3 batches and don't plan to stop!

My husband loves loves loves zhong zi. His Dad makes them or buys them for him when we are in China. I really want to make vegan ones for him but he is not into vegan meat. Lol. He says it’s stupid why vegans want to eat meat when you are vegan 😂 I can understand his logic, but also lots of people rely on vegan meat especially when transitioning into a vegan diet. I cannot have gluten so most vegan meat is not an option anyway. I’m just going for a more whole food plant based vegan diet so less processed foods, unless I make it myself.

What a coincidence. I never heard of zongzi yet next to your video in my subscription feed was emmymadeinjapan's video of her taste testing them. I watched that first to see what a traditional version is like before seeing how you make them.
