I've watched the majority of your videos and I LOVE them. I'm thinking about filming a video of all my favorite vegan eats in different parts of my city (Austin, TX - bigger than people realize) and I was thinking about how I would love to see a video of you mapping out vegan food in NYC! I've visited a handful of times, I have a cousin in Brooklyn, but I still have trouble understanding how it all fits together and the lengths between boroughs. I'd love to see something like that from your perspective. I remember you saying you don't frequent the Upper East Side and it makes sense that you don't go around the ENTIRE city but I love watching other city dwellers!!

I live in St. Louis where they originally tested Burger King’s burger and it was pretty good! The only issue is that it comes with mayonnaise so make sure you order it right! And they may ask if you want cheese. I’m so excited for the Qdoba impossible beef to go national. Also what’s your favorite vegan sour cream?

If you can get to a Panchero's (another fast casual-style place), they have something called tofusada as a meat substitute--which is out of this world. You can either build a burrito with or just stick with the bowl. It's top notch.

Apparently they changed the formula to soy because of having to adapt to the Burger King cookers and the soy they use has GMOs!! I was called out on Instagram for posting my trying the Impossible burger at White Castle and hit a whole lecture about it. I mean it’s not like I was looking to be healthy at White Castle lol. But I was wondering what you thought about the drama? Seems to me the meat industry is trying to go after Impossible foods because they’re cutting into their profits...just sayin’

Funny how Gothenburg in Sweden got plant-based burgers at Burger King before New York did, we even have a plant-based chicken burger at Burger King. I am not referring to the veggie patty that they have always had.

Also, so many amazing vegan Swedish brands: Oatly, Oumph, Planti, Anamma and some Hälsans Kök, also the Max Burger vegan burgers and shakes. Sweden is a pioneer in plant based products. And IKEA even offers vegan soft serve, even though it is a sorbet.

I don't understand the hype with chipotle. Chipotle is trash and they gave hundreds of people food poisoning, not once but two separate times. Their food has no flavor at all. Qdoba is bomb as heck. I always get the impossible bowl.

Hey, I had the same concerns! Long story short, Impossible foods could not launch their product because they had an ingredient that had not been proven safe before. And the gov required animal testing. Not ideal in the slightest. But what most people dont know is that almost every single food ingredient has gone through the same thing. Even seemingly innocent ones like pea protein, soy sauce, and coconut oil. I know some people dont want to support impossible foods and thats ok too but they are partnering with the most popular fast food chains right now and bringing plant based alternatives not only to the fancy white neighborhoods but also to the food deserts at affordable prices and I appreciate their work.

That is true but there is an argument for sacrificing the few for the many(if you can get behind that mindset) but as far as I know the animal testing wasn't necessary for a vegan market but that's not what impossible foods was going for but for the meat-eater market and there seems to be some vague valid reason for getting soy leghemoglobin FDA approved for that reason but not for any vegan reason. Vegans supporting impossible foods is very questionable and I wouldn't buy it myself but there is an argument for that the harm is already done and supporting the marketing of the product even if you are not going to eat it yourself is a good thing for veganism but I don't know if it holds up under scrutiny.

Cheaplazyvegan did a whole video about it, you all should check it out. Bottom line, buying an impossible burger will save animal lives. If they had to test on a few rats to get it on the market then they had to do what they had to do to pass the fda guidelines. The testing is not ongoing so it would be a shame to not encourage less consumption of meat because they had to do some testing years ago to get approved and on the market.
