I love all the detail and the walk throughs in Disneyland Paris. There is so much more than just rides, shops and shows. We have been quite a few times, but still discover new things everytime.

I feel the same way!! I notice this with Disneyland in California too -- even in the areas that we always hang out, sometimes Simon and I are convinced we've never seen something before and it must be brand new, but then we watch an old video, and there it is lol! there's so much to see, it's magical to notice things for the first time, even after all these years! 🤩💖

The castle is fantastic. I love it. The stained glass windows are stunning. All of the details are wonderful. I love how they make so many things at the Disney parks like the movies; even if you’ve seen them before you may notice new things.

yes!! I totally agree. I feel like every time I watch a Disney movie or go to a Disney Park, I see something that I'm not sure I've seen before!! it's so special. 🥰

Jim Shule posted his aerials of Disneyland Paris discoveryland, and fantasyland… in some ways I’m glad I waited till the weekend to watch this because it really did inform me of some of your adventures a little bit deeper than I would have otherwise. Great to see that you’re having so much fun.

Merci for this cool part 2. So nice to watch you having fun in my country 😊. happy to see you both love the parade. Oh I see you have rain at the end of the video. Don’t worry you are in Paris. It won’t be normal to not have rain 😊😊. I will go back in DLP in a few days for Halloween season and also in December for Christmas season too. Can’t wait for it. I will watch your next video in the studios 😉.

Thank you so much!! Oooh, I’m so excited for you to go back and experience the holidays at Disneyland Paris. I would love to go back for Christmas season sometime 😍. You’re so right about the rain lol! Definitely normal. We were lucky to only get rained on this day (and the night before when we arrived at our hotel). The rest of our trip was dry! 💖

I was in disneyland paris one week after they opened - for a week. I was 18 then. When we came to the segment in the video when the "Its a small world" tune kicks in - it came all back again.. omg. star tours.. the michael jackson 4d video.. haunted mansion. They had a cool saloon in that pre park area between the hotels - dont remember the name..they had happy hours with good beer and I remember that restaurant where you had your hot dogs - it was a steak house back then and it was super expensive for that time and we did go there. Maybe I go there once again.

I finally made it to the last part. I LOVE the Nautilus. The one outside and the walk through. Absolutely essential to have at the park France, in my opinion. 😊I like the Verne inspired Steampunk aspects very much, but the Nautilus is extra special. I didn’t realize there was a walk through, I thought you just saw the submarine in the water from the outside. Captain Nemo and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea over Finding Nemo any day. After all Captain Nemo is where the little fish got his name. Nemo was such a complicated character. Have you seen the movie? Do you know who Esmeralda is? There was not the wood walls in submarine, that looks like it is just extra to not make it seem so claustrophobic in such a large yet confined area. The window is so neat though.

Yay, I’m so glad you liked it! I thought of you when I edited the second half! I have not seen the movie, but now it’s on my list 🥰. I was cracking up when I realized it was not Finding Nemo! 😂

"And crew". Poor Bert! xD Welcome to Europe, we have crunchy cookies that you really shouldn't try to bite into with your front teeth xD I love the look of our Small World, but I'm also sad, because in the documentary they mentioned Mary Blair hated pastels. Loving that you can hear the snoring guards, haha! Fun fact about the dragon: I've been going since 1998, when I was 3, and only on my latest trip (earlier this month for a passholder party) did I realize/see the dragon has a full on body and wings and paws jhasdfjsd your video is even showing me yet another paw jsdhfkasdg let's just blame my fear as a kid and my eyesight as an adult, yeah? xD Captain Jack's serves Caribbean food! So it's a lot of fish, can't say I ever thought it smelled like pizza there :P Indiana Jones used to go backwards and I am still hoping they'll go back to that one day; I might go on it again if they do! I'm glad you enjoyed Stars on Parade! I can't wait to get a new one, this one is so tired. The big Peter Pan float is missing, making that whole bit look pretty sad. Also the Simba on the jungle float is... A Choice, hahah! I'm still sad they got rid of the giant squid animatronic at the Nautilus and replaced it with a screen showing other animals.
@nerdydaydreams3 ай бұрын
Omg I laughed so hard about Captain Jack’s!! I swear it smelled like pizza 😂. We were so hungry! Also, LOL about Mary Poppins and crew, I should have edited that part out on Simon’s behalf. I had no idea what Bert’s name was either! I totally hear you about the dragon. It was so dark in there, I could barely see when I walked in! I always discover so much when I rewatch our footage. The camera sees better. 🥰 That’s so cool about Indiana Jones going backwards!! I would love to see that in action! 💖🤓

Seems like there are a lot more accessible areas and viewing walk-throughs than Disneyland. I actually got to go on the Nautilus ride in Disney World in 1975 when I was a kid. It was really cool and scary and smelled like an indoor swimming pool. I laughed at your Nemo comment. It's funny how things are linked to the past, but with no reference people just don't know the history. Too bad they closed that ride. That's a lot of ducks, a gratuitous baby duck, and people are feeding them! That is really discouraged here. Thanks for the video.
@nerdydaydreams3 ай бұрын
Yes!! there did seem to be a lot of walk-throughs! Ahh, that's so cool that you got to ride the Nautilus at Disneyland as a kid! Isn't it funny how we remember smells like that? I almost didn't include my Nemo flub, but it made me laugh when I edited it, and it was an honest mistake. I'm glad you laughed too! We love the Disneyland ducklings so much. I hope not too many folks are feeding them what they shouldn't be eating. Thanks for your comment! 🤓💖

Loved the video! It was interesting to hear your comparisons to california. We'll be in Paris again in 60 days and i cant wait. Was it cold when you were there? You looked bundled up. Cant wait for your next video :)

Thank you so much!! oooh, that's so exciting that you're going back so soon! It was pretty cold for us while we were there (we are used to warmer California weather). Simon remembers that it was in the 50s F (probably 11 or 12 C) in the mornings. I swear it was colder than that though because we could see our breath! It warmed up a little throughout the day and was probably as warm as mid to high 60s F (18 or 19 C). I think we just happened to be there during a colder September week! 💖💖 Thank you again!

I LOVE the dragon. It’s amazing. I was expecting Maleficent’s Dragon, not this dragon. Is he captured though? I think he escaped captivity. The collar only has two links of a chain. Maybe the dragon escaped Maleficent.

not sure if the cookie was hard by design but in france we do have different type of cookies and some are indeed hard and crumbly by design and look similar to what you've had definitely not my favourite personally, especially for that price, even for disneyland it feels a bit absurd when you could have about a dozen like this for half the price in any supermarket ^^'
@nerdydaydreams3 ай бұрын
Totally! Simon is originally from the UK, and he shared off-camera that cookies are often just harder in the UK and Europe, and in the US we tend to bake softer cookies. Honestly, this cookie was really good!! We went back and got it a few more times. It just surprised us with the first hard bite 😂💖
@Lord_Mangoat3 ай бұрын
Part 2! I'm curious to hear input from others who attend Disneyland Paris. Wondering if it was a timing and/or weather related as to why the cookie was hard.
@nerdydaydreams3 ай бұрын
Oooh, yes, I’m curious too!! I also should clarify that Simon and I went back two more times for cookies after that 😂, so even though they were cold and hard, they were still good enough to keep us returning. (We dipped them in coffee every time haha). 💖

New to the channel; I guess you guys are vegan? I used to visit France a lot, but go much less often now since it isn’t a particularly vegan friendly country. Disneyland Paris had some options when I was last there (five years back) but it looks like that has expanded. Would be great to hear your reflections on the variety of food options; seems like they’re still coming up short on breakfast and table service? The little scene with the French ducks of Disneyland Paris reminded me of Disney’s 2018 ‘little duck’ Ad, possibly the cutest Disney parks ad ever. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2fFmpycjsZgoMUsi=Sj2ky-R4dn3EoeKO The Nemo confusion is understandable, but I’m glad it’s Captain Nemo, rather than Marlin’s son Nemo. I’ve got a real soft spot for the old-school Disney live action sci-fi movies: Island at the Top of the World, Tron, Escape to Witch Mountain, The Black Hole, Rocketeer, Computer Wore Tennis Shoes and so on; when you find nods to them in the parks these days they’re usually low-key ‘if you know, you know’ affairs. With MK’s 20,000 Leagues ride and the various Honey I Shrunk the Kids attractions closed, Discoveryland and ‘Mysterious Island’ are their last bastions in the parks - long may they remain 🙂

Yes, Simon and I are both vegan! You too? 💚 We were so grateful for all of the plant-based options at Disneyland Paris. It sounds like they have really stepped it up over the years! There is an account on instagram called @vegandlp, and I was able to get a lot of info from them before and during our trip. She did recommend the hotel breakfasts for vegan options like non-dairy yogurts and breads, but we ended up eating non-traditional breakfast food in the parks instead because we were so determined to use our magic hour every morning. (wait till you see what we eat for breakfast on the next episode lol!) we also didn't go to any table service restaurants in the park. We dropped the ball on making reservations ahead of time, and we were also happy with the quick service menus offered! I love the duckling video so much! I have seen it a few times, and it always makes me cry happy tears! I have a disneyland duckling tattoo 🥲so sweet!! thank you for sharing. And you're totally right about the nods to the old movies! It's special to see them in the parks. I usually learn about them from Disney documentaries and other youtubers!
