We went on a weekday for lunch mid July. I’ve heard so many stories about people lining up before the restaurant opens, so this was always on my bucket list. It was 28.00 for everyone, no discount for seniors. I wasn’t impressed because the deep fried salmon and teriyaki beef were really salty. The sushi rolls looked like my kids made them and the buffet counters weren’t clean. I doubt if I’ll return. Thanks for sharing.

Those sushi rolls were very pretty. Love the "Big Mac" one. Most everything was well presented. Nice selection of desserts. I love sweet red beans in dessert. Local buffet used to carry the bun with paste but no more. I can get frozen at the local Asian market. Your hostess/server was adorable. Hope you are being well, and God bless from sunny Oregon!

What a great buffet. I think $45 is a great price for the amount of variety they offered. I'm glad you pointed out that some items might have lost the quality due to your later than usual arriving. I think that is very much the case. Most looked very fresh, even for the late hour. For sure looks like a great place to visit.

The sushi and the selection of seafood was fantastic. Really high-quality and really enjoyed the scallops. I’ve been told that it is even better at at the beginning of the buffet. I should’ve gone earlier.

I think pretty great value! I hardly ever spend less than $40 when I get sushi in general. So I would probably eat my money’s worth there. Also, Tim. Makino was the very first AYCE sushi I ever had more than 20 years ago. Makino is actually located in the northwest corner of Decatur and Flamingo.

They used to have a Makino Buffet in Irvine California. It closed down a few years back. There were 2 locations the Vegas one is the last 1. I forget the name of the chef. There's pictures of the old owner that made the menu In the restaurant . The stuff in the video looks very similar from the one in Irvine. I. Remember they were under different ownerships.But the same menu stayed till the end Good place, wish I'm still busy in California.

The address in your description is wrong. Makino is not on N. Rampart which is nowhere near Chinatown. It's on S. Decatur. 221 Rampart is the Rampart casino where you had their buffet the other day.

That was indeed a blueberry cheesecake! I really enjoyed it, mainly because I was expecting blueberry in the other dessert. The tiramisu cake was average.
