Bai, First - excellent summary --- although I already knew virtually everything here, since I am a long-time Movie Studio user. And there is very little in this particular Vegas 14 video, that goes beyond the most fundamental knowledge about Movie Studio. However, I say "excellent" because this one is quick, concise, well-articulated, and well visualized. A really nice job. So you have made a fan. I will definitely be following your stuff. Secondly, you title the rest of the 6 subjects in you Vegas 14 collection as "The Full Guide". However, I'm sure that you are well aware that it ain't anywhere near a "full guide". Just a hell of a good start. So I would like to request a subject that you might offer sometime in the near future, as you build a more "Full Guide". That would be MASKING. Keep up the good work.

So whenever I extend the loop regian over my entire video (thats like 3-4 mins long) then press "Shift+B" (Sorry I dont know the name of it I just call it Shift+B) the loop regian shrinks itself to 37 seconds and cancels my "Shift+B".......This wasnt a problem in Vegas Pro 13 is there like a different way to Shift+B the clips??? Can you help?

Helpful video--already know my way around Adobe Premiere but I have a *cough* questionable installation of an older copy, which is buggy, which I've planned to replace all along anyway. There are some aspects of the way Premiere works that I've never liked, but it's just what I have. I think I can be confident now that I can purchase Vegas as a more than adequate replacement, though.

Great videos. I am a beginner, I have Sony Movie Studio platinum 13, the file extension is .VF as per this sample - (Gold Coast Sporting Slideshow July 2016 .vf) If I upgrade to Vegas Pro 14 can I open any of these files without any problems. My renders are mostly MP4.

You should be able to open projects coming from Movie Studio, but, even in case you are not able to do so, you can always copy-and-paste all your clips from Movie Studio to Vegas Pro.

Vegas Pro is project-based so you do not have such an option. Create a Media folder on your own and place all your media files...

I have just downloaded the 30 day trial version and have one main question. Does Vegas pro 14 render to 320 bit rate?. I am a video DJ and am looking for software that will enable me to record audio over music videos. Sony Vegas Pro is more suitable for very professional environment. For personal use, Sony Vegas Pro Edit is quite fine. Cracked versions are quite illegal and maybe full of malware, avoid that.

Great question. As long as you use the same PC, we have seen that these templates are automatically imported, but when you change PC, you lose all of them. We have not found where these are saved yet :/

bai MAGIX Vegas Pro is not good then. SONY Pro was better in terms of portability but I didn't go for it because Sony Vegas doesn't have masking feature. Am I right?

No MAGIX did not change this system. There is a luck of control on those Templates. You can customize and save them, but where and how to port them?

bai MAGIX did change and I don't even find the OFX Preset folder in My Documents folder like SONY Vegas.
