For the small blind jackpot, I prefer if the small blind put money on the button, as that if there is a player who doesn't want to play the game. They can choose to opt out and not be entitled to win the jackpot. I actually ended up winning a huge pot last year in NLH, because the jackpot started to get high and I knew the small blind player was blasting ATC into me on a 88TT3 board, but I called a massive overshove with Q9s, which ended up being good.

@@Mitjitsu yeah, there is no “opting out,” we’ve had players ask that before and opting out just doesn’t make any sense….. Hopefully I’ll see you at one of these meet up games we have in the next four months!

The reason you make the button do it is bc people don't skip their buttons. It actually juices everything up way more in hold em than plo. Flops go way less multi way than low stakes plo and you can overbet so people go for it more.

@@tommyfu9271 I do like it in NLHE- but even at our MUG we do have straddles UTG - and things get crazy - it’ll be a ton of fun. With big o and DBBP you have to scoop to win it - so it’ll build huge and that encourages double and triple straddles - you’ll see

​@@ploprofessor hotel,meals,plane tickets, Uber/taxi . That's what I count as expenses in my poker trips. To count expenses from 2k up to 7k is really wild.
