Ok! That is what the NFL should be doing for OT from now on. The energy from the Fans in the Dome was crazy made it that much more intense to watch live on TV.

The XFL shootout is amazing. Similarity to the NHL hockey shootout. My son and his wife went to see the game and could not believe the crowd noise ike back in the days of Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, Marshall Faulk and Tori Holt at The Dome. He said the place shook. Very large tailgating crowd. They even pulled out a win like that STL Rams team. I do hope though AJ Mc Carron is able to return to finsih the season.. Go Battle Hawks!

The Vipers nearly got the upset! Battlehawks really missed AJ this game. If only the other teams turned out like St Louis. Obviously its much easier to support and stand by a strong team though, hopefully the league will grow as it establishes itself with its first full season

That’s what I’m thinking about! Freaking awesome stuff, reminds me of the NFL back in the 80s/90s, raw, unpredictable, and big hits. Definitely love the XFL games over the USFL I watched last year. There’s a lot of work ahead for the USFL, if they want to beat these games the XFL has pumped out. They should just concede and join the XFL next spring, as the XFL with another 8 teams would be the dream come true. This league needs to be bigger, the only sore thumb they have is the Vegas field. Which is impressive considering it’s a restart from basically nothing, the Rock and Danny got this thing coming on up.

Rod smith and McClendon have been the only bright spots for LV. I think both should be on NFL rosters. Rough game for them tho. Especially Smith, he’s usually a monster. McClendon is probably the cause of that. But he’s a mid season promoted to starter so…

It was clearly a good conversion. The league wanted the Battlehawks to win so that they can get to the playoffs with their giant crowd size. Makes for great optics. They do not want Las Vegas to be in the playoffs.

@@jsmooth3795 "How about The Motor City Madhouse?" Ted Nugent had a song by that name in 1975. " Or the Detroit Rock City Demolition?" Detroit Rock City, by KISS, 1976 Destroyer album. Names aren't really that hard when you think 🤔 about the inspiration, especially when you look at the names of the existing teams in the league. And yes, we have the Michigan Panthers, but I, personally don't know when I will see another "live" game of any kind, because I've been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer this past January, so I'm having my own battle right now! But I do believe that God Will get me through so that 1 day I can get out and see another football game! I saw many Michigan Panthers games with Anthony Carter and John Corker back in the mid 80's and when we had The Detroit Drive of the AFL!! When The World League of Professional Football existed, I wished we had had a team in that league too! I loved watching The Barcelona Dragons play, but it was only through the television set. The XFL is exciting and I would like to see at least 1 thing to come back to the XFL and that is the names on the back 🔙 of the jersey's like: "He Hate Me!" I 💬 thought that was hilarious back 😂🔙 then! And bring back 🔙 The San Francisco Demons too?

You have to win by 2 successful twos? That's very stupid. If my count was right, St. Louis had the ball second. After Vegas "failed" to score, (Ithought his elbow was, in fact, in) St. Louis converted on their attempt. Why Vegas deserved another chance, when they both had one already, is beyond me. St. Louis converted a second time. (Why after Vegas having failed twice, St. Louis, with the lead, had to go again anyway. Am I the only one who finds this completely nonsensical?

It's best of 3, similar to a hockey shoot out. Highlights showed the OT rules before it happened. If STL failed the second attempt, Vegas would still had a chance to tie on the 3rd attempt. But after STL converted it's 2nd try, Vegas was therefore unable to tie. STL wins.

I hear ya...but I feel like the pandemic is why this league looks pretty sloppy, both of the leagues before the pandemic were getting more uniformity and better disciplined. It alos doesn't help that one league's owner was a horrible business manager who didn't pay half of the league, and then Vince McMahon sold the xfl to The Rock, hopefully it will clean up in a season or two.

I don't get overtime, but the rest of the game was just wild. All those turnovers, and St. Louis somehow caught up by the end of the 4th. That last drive to get into FG range was rather impressive. If Vegas would've kept the run-heavy offense they started with, they could have probably won this one REAL easy. Oh well-Go Battlehawks!
