Old people have it easy on life
@CaptainWillard830
@CaptainWillard830 4 ай бұрын
@@MonicaHolly143 how old are you? This is a very immature comment to make. Don’t be so quick to be a victim. I have had far from an easy life. When I was 11 years old my father died. A few hours after my 33 year old mother told my sister (10 years old), my brother (12 years old) and I, that our father had died, my brother and I made a pact to 1) never ask our mother for anything that we didn't truly need and 2) to try not to fight with each other. Why did we do this? Answer: We knew that our lives would be very hard moving forward, that our mother's life would be extremely hard. From that point forward I sought out opportunities to make a little money to buy my school clothes, shoes and sneakers for school each year. On my 16th birthday, I officially started working as a bus boy at Chuck E Cheeses, 3 years later I got a job selling men's clothes at the mall. Leap forward to college. i worked 2 part time jobs while attending school full time. I attended school from 7 am to 11 am, on average, then worked for a lawyer running papers from 1 to 5. I would then drive across town to my evening job washing pots and pans and delivering Chinese Food from 6 to 10 pm. i would then study from 10:30 to 1 pm before going to sleep for 4/5 hours. For 4 years, I spent every weekend at the University library studying. After graduating from college with a business degree, in 1991, I couldn't find a job that didn't pay more than minimum wage, which was $3.50 per hour back then. So I kept working my 2 part time jobs, and kept on living in my childhood home. I drive a Datsun 310 hatchback, I had no car insurance. I didn't have health insurance (no free Obama care like you have now), had not dental insurance or vision insurance either. In 1993, I decided to serve Our Nation and earned the opportunity to lead U.S. Marines by proving I could lead them by earning a commission after completing Officer Candidates School, Quantico, Virginia. I served Our Nation for 22 years. I most certainly did not have it easy in the Marines, where we must be selfless to accomplish the missions assigned, which always come first. I didn't have it easy in Afghanistan, 2 deployments to Iraq, operations to the Philippines, and helping the Japanese people in 2011 when Japan suffered a 9.0 earthquake, Tsunami and nuclear disaster. I was in Tokyo with a small team at the U.S. Embassy rapidly planning, while helping to evacuate thousands of American citizens from Honchu Island When we bought our first home in Gilbert, Arizona, I was a Captain of Marines assigned to the Recruiting Station Headquarters located in downtown Phoenix. For 3 years, I worked 6 days a week and averaged 60 hours each week. I have few memories of living at that house. I had very little free time with my wife and 2 little kids. Why? Answer: The Marine Corps mission came first After "retiring" from the USMC, I went to work for Amazon at HQ1 in Seattle. Got my civilian dream job. 4 1/2 years later I moved on. Today, I am a C-Suite executive who works with many millennials, and GenZers. I understand the challenges today's generation of Americans face. I also know that there are many more resources available to this generation than my Generation had (GenX). There was not student loan forgiveness for me. There was no Obama Care for me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice property, but "Where are those Cookies" Having said that, I would have to add the Pot-filler, add 2 large elegant medicine cabinets in primary bathroom, plus upgrade to a 2nd sink in the Jack & Jill bathroom and take the tile all the way to the ceiling. Get rid off carpet in some areas due to my spouse's severe allergies. Stay Safe & Healthy... Abrazos
