My theory is he learned how to tap in to that power in super saiyan 2 so he doesn’t see that transformation as necessary as ss2 is the perfect super saiyan form and he added the power of 3 to 2 that’s why he doesn’t use it. @@Champizard but that dont make much sense because we know we are gonna see him use ss3 in Daima a lot more till its end. and if vegeta could always use the form then in BOG he would have used it no matter what. goku too knew the drawbacks but he did used ss3 so vegeta should have use it coz it is a good multiplier overall. i think we can see series shift in new continuity.

The anime never says, shows or implies that Vegeta could always go SSJ3. Thats something fans make up. Theres no im show evidence proving hes always had the ability as itll cause too many holes. Its simple. Based on what the show has shown, told us and implied. He couldnt at the time. Until we are told otherwise. He just now gained the ability.

What do you mean last longer. The powered up super Saiyan 2 state he used in the bog movie was just for a short time, so wouldn't it have been a better decision to put all his energy into swiftly defeating lord beerus with all his strength. Plus at the end of the bog movie Vegeta clearly states "in that great moment I surpassed you kakarot" what did he mean by that if he also had Super Saiyan 3???

Many theories say that he evolved his ssj2 to be better than ssj3, he probably started evolving his ssj2 after he experienced himself that ssj3 in not worth it and his ssj2 by the time of battle of gods became stronger than ssj3 hence he used ssj2 not 3. But still thus is just a theory.

I personally think vegeta getting super Saiyan 3 doesn't make f****** sense I always have the form came about through weird circumstances for example Goku got super Saiyan 3 when he was dead because it takes too much physical strain on the body to attend the forum and then the fusions can do it because their Fusion they're more than one body so each body takes half the strain and the reason my Goku kept being able to do it after he came back to life is because once you attain it it's easier to control the strain

@@0hsoaj513so the reason why it doesn't make sense for vegeta to have it is very obvious one reason why gotenks has the transformation is because there a fusion and also they were in the time chamber which means the time with them getting that to that Fusion was actually longer than we think it was I always thought the whole thing was it's too much strain on a body the reason why Goku could do it because he was dead And the reason why gotenks could do it it's because they refused so the strain on the body was basically halved

its really not tho lol, if you go back to read DBS Manga its directly stated that SSJ2 is able to reach SSJ3 levels of power so there is no reason to ever use SSj3 go re-read the fight with Goku vs Trunks. this is why the Daima showed SSj3 because it does not retcon nor contradict DBS it actually makes more sense now than ever, Vegeta likely dropped SSJ3 by the time DBS came along and manage to reach the x400 multiplier with just his SSJ2 andwithout any side effects/energy drain he could even surpass SSj3 levels of power with Rage like he did against Beerus.

Goku would have beat Majin Buu in ssj3 but couldn’t hold the form for a long fight due to being deceased and Buu had ultimate stamina being able to regenerate. Mastered ssj2 couldn’t and didn’t beat Buu it required a spirt bomb also it’s safe to assume a mastered full power ssj3 is more powerful. Vegeta learnt it after Buu defeat. The answer is fan service and bad writing. We should have seen vegeta ssj3 before god forms but super is a bit of a mess so for me Diama is actually cannon.

why would he, when he fought beerus his SSj2 already surpassed SSj3, using SSj3 would be detrimental due to its stress and low energy control meaning SSj2 has higher ceiling than SSj3 same way SSj1 has higher ceiling than Grade 2 and Grade 3 SSJ Trunks also showed that he could also reach x400 multiplier with SSj2 in his skirmish fight with Goku in DBS Manga with direct statements of SSj2 reaching the same level as SSJ3

Trunks using SSj2 to output SSj3 level of power is direct confirmation in DBS Manga that SSj3 was dropped due to its disadvantages why use SSj3 when SSj2 could be trained to have x400 multiplier without any drawbacks.

is not tho, if you read the manga we know the reason why SSJ3 was dropped. SSJ2 has the potential to reach the x400 multiplier that SSj3 has as stated by Trunks and directly shown by Trunks. Vegeta was also able to surpass SSJ3 multiplier when eh fougth Beerus, so why would he ever use it again when SSJ2 > SSJ3.
