he is not the same character in Avatar 2 though. he is a Navi/human clone with his memories. human Quaritch died in the first movie. also the Recomb Quaritch is a more interesting character. and something tells me, we are gonna see a lot more of his badassery in the next movie.

Lang absolutely loves this character and you can tell hes stretching his muscles as Quaritch in The Way of Water. I'm so glad it didnt go to Michael Biehn... even though I'd love to see him in an Avatar movie. You've gotta admire Quaritch for his balls-out approach and the way he still thinks to care about the people under his command.

Just "Toruk". "Makto" means "rider" and "Toruk Makto" means "Rider of Toruk" in Na'vi language (same as they have "Ikran Makto" = "Rider of Ikran")
