And I personally don't like shonen jump making up shit at the last second, just to try to please both sides. It's just an arbritary decision, not even stated IN THE STORY. In my very very *personal* opinion, if you just agree with every shit we throw at you even if it's not cannon story wise( as we have no actual exemple of this statement yet, and the potara was previously presented superior), it will end up like J.K Rowlling shit someday.

Another example being the teaser trailer that hyped up the fight between Gogeta & Broly as being the “Strongest vs Strongest”, yet Broly vs Whis clearly shows us that Broly is nowhere near the strongest, proving that these promos are unreliable. According to the Daizenshuu (an official guidebook approved by Toriyama himself), Potara fusion/Vegito is superior to the fusion dance/Gogeta. The Elder Kai also states that the Potara is more efficient and stronger than the metamoran fusion/fusion dance and efficient is also a strength and can imply stronger and the fusion dance requires two entities to have equal power levels heavily implying that if you have a higher power level than you have to lower your power level to match the other person in order to balance the fusion out. Therefore decisively making Vegito the superior and true ultimate fusion. This refers to a current Vegito/hypothetical or theoretical DBS Broly Movie Vegito by the way, not the Future Trunks Arc one that fought Merged Zamasu .
