Agree about that tune. I got a canned tune from Jay at SFR for my 3.8, and you're right. Best thing I did to that car performance wise. As a side note, you should give Boosted365 some support, he's got some great content. Gotta spread the Genesis love around!

That hood is insane. I love it. This is exactly what I want my genesis to look like. I don’t like the big wings or duck bills but that Track spoiler is perfect. The color matched lip/diffuser and small but needed carbon accents. And not to mention the headlight and rear lights! Love this build. Only thing I’d change is I’d for the 3.8. Just love that sound haha !

Love your car!!! Clean clean clean! Love the little things like the headlights. The carbonfiber wrap on the grill and leaving the vents on the hood carbonfiber. I really wanted to buy one but i heard the manual tranmissions are a nightmare. I know you have an automatic but i gotta have a manual. I ended up buying a 2008 dodge caliber srt4. Its a work in progress but I love it!! Nice vid!!!

for a good performance gain get an upgraded intercooler and steel intercooler piping instead of that stock flex tube! you’ll get the full 15psi of boost and not 11-12psi due to the flex tube expanding. looking to do that to my gen in the spring. also im a baltimore local!

Since you can’t go turbo back and if you wanted more sound out of the exhaust, a lot of people cut the middle resonator out of the CNT exhaust. It sounds pretty good. I think there’s a few videos of it on here.

They do but only about half way. Plenty of room to get in and out though.

Since you're running the HKS SSQV, I would highly recommend getting the BK1 intake manifold, getting it ported/polished and installing it on yours; it should also be a better power solution than a spacer, albeit more expensive. I had a very setup similar to yours back when I had my '13 BK2 2.0T, put my foot down and the intake manifold went kablamo. At the time I was running a TurboXS race pipe/cat back, Injen intake, and HKS SSQV on the stock tune. Those plastic intake manifolds were a really poor decision on Hyundai's part.

I have the cnt exhaust with the burnt tips looks really good. It's not loud though, which I have mixed feelings about. I kind of like that it's not too loud because it doesn't attract police attention too much. I've been pulled over multiple times on previous occasions because of my exhaust. But I also like that it doesn't cause ridiculous cabin drone, and loosening parts causing rattling. I also don't want my cai sound to be drowned out (I love it!!). But at the same time, I want a little more volume!! 😅 Question for you, do you have rattling issues in your cabin?

I have a little rattle that I think is coming from something loose in my spare tire well in the trunk. Just haven’t had a chance to take a look. No major rattles though.

It passed fine without the secondary cat. Removing the primary cat was the problem.

I absolutely love the videos man, your Geni is beautiful. It’s made me want to buy one even more... Do you drive this thing in the snow? What tires do you recommend? I live in Ohio so blizzards are quite normal here during the winter lol!

Thanks man! I have Yokohama S-Drives which are performance tires and don’t do well in the snow. A good pair of Goodyear all seasons would probably be a lot better for bad weather. Fortunately here in MD we don’t get a ton of snow.

speaking from experience wouldnt recommend you drive a gen in the snow even if you have a good set of all seasons maybe snow tires would work but all seasons are just not gonna work all that well

To go full turboback is that just adding in the 02 housing and downpipe to go with the catback? or is their more to it? BTW I did that tablet mod but dashcommand app doesn't install on that tablet? any way around it?

Yup, just add the O2 housing. I’m not sure why dash command wouldn’t load on your tablet. There are other apps out there that may be worth a try.

It isn’t bad. You’ll have to notch out the area around the exhaust tips a bit though.

NCT 2947 the red one I had ordered from amazon and it was sold as an “HPS” intake but clearly was a knock off. I went through GCTuner on the new one since I knew I wouldn’t get a knock off from them.

I got them on eBay but the exact ones I have aren’t there anymore. They were designed to go on the front but I thought it would look cool on the back. There are other ones similar there just not these exact ones.
