This video will show you step by step instructions on how to reset your front brake pads light rear brake pad light oil service light on BMW 328i BMW 328xi 335i and 335xi 2010 , 2011 , and 2012
2008 BMW 328i Rear Brake Service Light Reset after pad and sensor replacement
Step 1 Close the driver door.
Step 2 Start the car or turn ignition on.
Step 3 Immediately after service reminder goes out, press and hold the odometer reset. After 3 secs a warning triangle will appear, keep the odo button pressed and after another 2-3 secs the Oil will appear.
Step 4 You are now in the service menu, use the toggle switch on indicator stalk to scroll up/down through the various service items.
Step 5 When you have the item you want to reset showing, press the BC button on end of indicator stalk. Reset should now appear in the display. Press in and hold the BC button for 2-3 secs and a clock will start whirling around and its done.
Step 6 You can now either scroll up/down to select another item (as in step 4) or you can press the start/stop button to exit.

My service level interval light is still on on the oil level and it does not want to reset even though I changed the filter and the oil and front brakes any idea what could be the case, I click on the reset as shown in the video the brakes go back to - 15000 and the oil service level keeps going back to - 700 its a 523I BMW

Did you replace the brake pad wear sensor if not it won’t clear until that sensor is good

What if the brake pad warning is in yellow not in red? I have gone through the reset procedures with the car on and off doors closed but it stays in the yellow. Could the sensor be bad? I replaced the brakes with Brembo rotors and pads. Nothing really looked different. I'm at a loss any help would be appreciated.

I just asked a BMW dealership how to reset the oil change alert and they said "you have to bring it in because only qualified technicians can go into the computer and reset it." "Oh what? how much would that cost me?" "$95" That's fucking bullshit lol And its pain because I need to go in there for a tune-up on wednesday so I still need to talk to these scumbags. I know they're going to lie and say it's something else (I have a rough idle) so I'm telling them just give me a Tune-Up and thats IT.
