i have a 1998 subaru legacy outback 2.5 liter that i drove into a flood and water came up just to the top of the seats. four days after flood, i found that my ecm growing green stuff upon opening it for inspection. after i cleaned, few pins have disintegrated of corrosion and couple circuit card traces fried. i'm buying a replacement from ebay. being an old car, would this not starting, and vin number, locksmith, etc, be same factors that i would run into? is not just a plug and play situation? thank you...
