VEIL OF SECRETS is a new doom metal band by VIBEKE STENE and ASGEIR MICKELSON
VIBEKE STENE is known as the singer of Tristania, 1997-2007. With VEIL OF SECRETS, STENE has composed the majority of lyrics and vocals.
ASGEIR MICKELSON is known for having played drums in Borknagar, Sarke, Ihsahn, Spiral Architect, Vintersorg, Abyssic, Testament, and others. With VEIL OF SECRETS, MICKELSON has written all music and recorded drums, guitars, and bass.
Growling vocals on the album were done by ERLING MALM (Endolith, Articulus). Violin was done by SAREETA (Ram-Zet, ex-Ásmegin).
“DEAD POETRY” is produced by Vibeke Stene and Asgeir Mickelson, mixed at Toproom Studio by Børge Finstad, and mastered at dUb Studio by Endre Kirkesola.

Vibeke Stene joined ”Tristania” in 1996, at age 18 while still in school; she was inspired to join a band after seeing ”Theater of Tragedy” live in Stavanger.

Tristania with Vibeke was to be as big as Nightwish if they stayed together in a way not changing band members all the time. I'll be brave and blame Morten a little bit who managed to found Tristania and Sirenia with both bands starting strong but it was more like an affair rather than relationship resulting in decay. I always loved Vibeke's "dark play" singing and am glad she didn't stay in retirement and also sounds as amazing as ever.
