Veithurguard is literally one of my fave side quests ever, and part of the reason is because nothing points you towards it, you just see a massive golden gate in the lake of nine and think that it is interesting, you open it for the statue of thor but at entrance of Veithurguard two massive statues welcoming you like some scenes from lord of the rings, then you see statue of thor on the left then another interesting area at the right, you go and see a massive dragon chained up and trying to kill everbody, then you go nearer and see more path foward, still going thinking all the blue stones are outside, but then you have to enter that maze alike inside and fight your way to the last stone, a bunch of very interesting things happening, much lore and stuff. Veithurguard and könunsgard are two of my fave parts of the whole game. In ragnarok, it is the crater, which is the same concept but even better, you keep going and it's more and more beautiful, when i discovered the wishing well, that was just so beautiful, the world design and the lore of it, the shape of the mountains an all the creatures.

I'm revisiting this soundtrack, i noticed King Hrólf's berserkers share this same theme (or at least a variation of it) in God of War Ragnarok. Even tho i think this song is amazing, i kinda feel dissapointed they had to recycle this theme, specially considering the berserkers are the equivalent to the Valkyries in Ragnarok, the Valkyries had such an amazing suite and i was looking forward to getting an equially fitting theme for their equivalent in Ragnarok. Still, very good song, i just wanted something more fitting for the berserkers, something as good as the Valkyries where. Update: I just finished GoW Ragnarok and defeated Hrolf, i found kinda dissapointing they even reused this same music for Hrolf's boss fight, Sigrun and the Valkyries shared the same theme but the rest of the Valkyries had modified versions of the melody, as of every Valkyrie had their own "Piece" of the main theme, and Sigrun's theme had the whole complete theme. I was kinda expecting Hrolf being something like that, but they used the same music for him, what a shame :\ All things considered even tho i say the Berserker fights where a little bit more difficult, the story, music and presentation of the Valkyries make them far superior imo

Tbh, I found the tracker better for the Berserkers. This area is very niche and it only occurs during a specific encounter, which isn't a boss iicr. A lot of people likely never heard this track (I didn't), which is likely why it resurfaced in Ragnarok. And Ragnarok version is less "folky" and way more bombastic. Reusing tracks from previous games is very common. If I could change anything, this version could've been for Hrolf specifically
