in my playthrough my cipher did most dmg and kill most enemy but Aloth did kill that first dragon where that grat sword Tidefall

I'm currently slogging through the 'wrath of berath' because I messed up and broke my oath in the first game. Pretty much permanently stuck at 64/75, because Aloth is the ultimate kill stealer in our entire goddamn party. It's like two levels ago he suddenly took steroids. Don't know what I did with his talents, but he went from bubble boy to mac critical dmg daddy.

It makes me a lil sad that my main playthrough has two elves (my Watcher and Aloth as their partner) raising Vela because that means her parents will outlive her by not just decades with her short Orlan lifespan, but centuries.

In my original PoE 1 playthrough I didn't take the baby from the house, but I ended up having her on board from a bug. Somehow I grew fond of her so I had to reload all of my PoE 1 saves and steal her just to have her around.

The book is just for visual clariticy and overview in the video. In the actual game, it happens as idle dialogue when you are on-deck on your ship and have both Vela on board and previously recruited the coresponding companion. The little dialogues happen at random and should be logged in the bottom left, just as any other dialogue.

Either what Beleg said (when you're on the deck of your ship and she's with you), or if you're doing Hylea's Challenge (aka have her travel around the world with you, and you having to protect her in combat, etc), then these can appear as random companion dialogue while you're running through cities
