The narrative is perfect Joe Bear. The comments you write fit the psychology of the situation, Velcro felt uneasy with this guy staring at him while he was innocently playing with a log so went to mom for reassurance whom then went over to let the guy know to be easy on her cub and to give him space. Good for her for setting boundaries. I support wildlife viewing but people need to watch with respect and a good distance Velcro clearly felt uncomfortable I hope this fellow learnt from this. I know of a black bear mom close to where I live, whom stopped eating as she became so stressed from people taking photos of her and her two cubs every day, poor thing. Bears are so smart black and G. bears.
