My first soldering experience was with this kit and everything working fine. After watching your video I was a little afraid that I would ruin the kit, but used a thin tip temperature adjustable soldering iron and 30w max wattage and is working fine.

Never had any problems with Velleman kits, probably your soldering techniques.

My experience with Velleman kits is that they are very well made. Is it possible you used too much heat and that is the reason the trace lifted?
