First and last hills are little difficult but go slow. You will be able to complete. All the best 👍🙏

Bro it was Adventourous and tough trek, I felt from 1,2,3,4,7 are tougher ones and only 5,6 are easy. While getting down 1,2,3,4 are really tough but I enjoyed it..

You can climb with or without. Most of the devotees doesn't wear footwear.

Can we do this trek alone in the day time without a group? will there be many people on the hill during the months of Feb and March?

It is open only 40 days to 2 months in year. Yes, solo can be done. Check for the opening dates by calling the forest office, generally 2 weeks before shivaratri they open the hill for trek. You can do day time as well people prefer to climb without shoe hence they choose night time. Crowd also will be less in the day time.

Anna how to reach poondi to velliangiri hills? From Gandhipuram bus will be there to poondi, then from poondi to velliangiri will there be autos? At the night time especially 10pm like that?

Poondi bus directly goes to Velliangiri. Bus number 14D. I don't think there will be any buses late night. May be very few. Or we can go upto Isha Center and try for buses.

Till 10 PM only from Gandhipuram to pondi bus will operate after that you need to take auto or car. Don't wait till 10 PM go early if u are planning to travel in public transport. And don't get isha bus get direct bus to pondi. Pondi is the velliangiri mountain basement.

Hello Prashanth, crowd will be too high during Sivaratri time. See if you can plan week days. Carry a head torch like what I have used. It will be difficult for those who are not used to any physical activity. But never give up mind set will get you going.

Its around 15 kilometres uphill trek to reach the Cave sanctuary of lord shiva. It takes close to 7 hours to reach the top and another 3 to 5 hours to come down. Its right next to the Isha’s ashram. All details in the video 😊
