There is this one supposedly joke that Velma made saying “there is a code for adults who still watch cartoons.”, that really got under my skin. Are the creators trying to be hypocritical? Because Velma is supposedly a cartoon too. I don’t get it. I have pain in my heart whenever I look at this monstrosity of Velma.

I was warned about this show way before it was released. If you want a previously recent version of Scooby-Doo, may I recommend Mystery Incorporated ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/mofVinShmquJm7s&pp=ygUUbXlzdGVyeSBpbmNvcnBvcmF0ZWQ%3D ) It's a darker gritter live action version of the series that was created by Chris Villain who plays Shaggy, at least Scooby is in this one, even though he doesn't talk, he is still very vital to the series. The pilot episode is about Fred witnessing the murder of his parents by a demon, of course everyone else thought that he imagined the whole thing. So the only hope he has left was to Velma because her mother owns a bookstore that specializes in the supernatural, but she doesn't believe in any of that stuff, however, she did agree to help Fred. Shaggy is pretty much a drug dealer who just wanted to get out of it because his dad is the town Sheriff. And Daphene is the popular school girl who dating a popular school guy, but she is not happy about it and has some feelings for Fred. I really do hope that this show gets more funding so that it make more episodes.

This show was so boring and terrible at the same time that I was looking at the time stamp for it to end that I didn't finish the whole series nor do I really care about wanting to finish it. One positive about this stupid show is the animation is tight but the characters how they are written, jokes, story structure of the season which watching other KZbinrs reviewing the whole season, straight up soldiers, was that the episodes were getting worse and worse on how far it gets that had me never wanted to finish or even watch one minute of the show.

I have not seen Velma yet, aside from clips of it from people's reviews of it on KZbin. In all honesty though, I don't ever really plan on watching any of the episodes in full. Because I just don't really care. I'd honestly would rather watch the two theatrical films of Scooby Doo over Velma any day. Those at least respected the source material a lot more than this show. You want a good adult cartoon to watch from HBO Max, then I highly recommend Close Enough made by J.G Quintel of Regular Show fame. That show is really good and it sucks that it got canceled by HBO Max and didn't get a fourth season.

One of the things I hate most about this show is how tries to talk about the benefits of being a man. When Velma dresses up like a man the show makes it seem like men don't have to work hard for attention, praise, and opportunities. It's really annoy when a show wants a portray men have it so easy and complete ignore all the hardships. Just acknowledged some of the hardships some men are expected to be make the first move in a relationship, not to cry, they have to be the breadwinner of there. Also short men are looked down upon and abuse against men from women isn't always take seriously.

The Scooby Doo franchise is now destroyed just like Disney and the Terminator franchise. Seriously, having that terrible Velma cartoon without Scooby Doo is the same level as that god awful live action Dragonball Evolution without Krillin. But like I said, Velma is just as terrible as Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon. The Harley Quinn cartoon is 100 times better than that abomination.
