I love how knowledgeable you are on roller coasters! You aren’t just a KSP aficionado, you actually are well versed and know your stuff! Great work! Always impressed with what you do and how much you know!

The coaster you were thinking of was goliath. Twisted colossus is one of the best rmc though.

Since the ride is kinda short i would get rid of the block breaks and replace it with a Zero G Roll.... other than that i love it

a good RMC? neat edit: I've just watched the full video and I commented this before watching because I thought it'd be as (or near as) well made as the Industrial Revolution, as a tip for Matt (if he sees this) for elements you can't get right, like the stall, just use the 4m technique, also I'd try to not make the drop/hill go at the same angle for an extended period of time, I hope this didn't seem overly critical, the coaster definetly has an interesting layout but just needs some better shaping.
@MattLowne5 жыл бұрын
I think YT removed the heart because you edited your comment (makes sense, you could have changed it to something nefarious to make me seem racist or something). Yeah I continue to work on the smoothing, I think the drop looks okay tbh, needs to be quite steep because PlanCo's friction is a bit higher than IRL.

The RMC coasters with a custom lift hill is Zadra at Energylandia, Goliath at Six Flags Great America, and the new RMC coaster that is being built with a custom lift hill is Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, which IG’s lift hill is actually steel.
@kumbabgt50674 жыл бұрын
Those are all steel lifts. They are just made to be as noticeable. You always forgot to mention Wildfire which has a custom support lift and drop.

I hate to be that guy. But i was watching your massive colony in lythe vid and you mentioned no know bodies with stable liquis water. Now of course you might be right because they arent 100% sure either, but they have found planets where from the looks of what the kepler telescope picked up, are made completely out of liquid water. A key example is GJ 1214 b. They have also found terrestrial planets that also have water, and these are all in the habitable zone. Again i hate being that guy, i just wanted to share something we learned in astronomy

This coaster us waaaaay to high for its footprint. The gforces on some of these places look crazy. All the drops also have a lot of straight sections which would never actually happen.
@MattLowne5 жыл бұрын
It's based on a real ride (google Zadra), RMCs have this kind of look. The Geforces are all fine aside from the one area I mentioned, which is now fixed.
@Coasterlocity5 жыл бұрын
The negative G on RMCs is actually pretty crazy. Valid point about the drops though. You generally dont find completely straight track on them outside the lift hill, brake run, and station.

Gotta say, I'm not thrilled about this one. The wooden supports feel jarringly massive compared to the other coasters in the park, and not in an impressive way like we saw in Neptune Park. It's also really linear, staying in basically one back-and-forth direction. Compared to the others already built, it feels dated, clunky, and boring. Certainly not what I'd put as the front-of-the-park first impression.
