Hi, thanks for the lessons man! They are very cool! But I have a question! I've been working with 3D for several weeks, and I'm sorry if my question is stupid, but I can not understand. What should be done with cyEnvironment? Need to download something from the greyscalegorilla? Some kind of plugin? I have the whole picture in the preview grainy and dark. Thanks in advance!

Hey Khai. Thanks for the question. When you add the cyEnvironment to the scene, it comes with a material added to it. If you open up that material, you'll see a texture node called "Environment." One of the options is to load a texture. Simply navigate to an HDRI map to use as the source. One useful resource for HDRI maps is hdrihaven.com. If you're using the scene I'm providing, you can delete the cyEnvironment, and replace it with a new one. Hopefully, that helps a little bit.

Hello, I have a problem of "X-particles" during my study of your course. My version of "X-Particles" is 895 format and the parameters are the same as yours, but the effect is different. If I can create such effect by using "X-particles" of "742", can you help me to explain it

Hi! How is it different?
@zyr80153 жыл бұрын
@@Velocitypeak 895 particles can't follow the surface. If I change mode to motion, the particles can follow the surface. But the effector doesn't work。I've emailed the insydium and they haven't responded yet

@@zyr8015 Gotcha! Something has changed within X-Particles. Hopefully, it's a temporary bug.

@velocitypeak First of all, incredible channel and very well explained everything, thank you very much. I have a problem, when you apply the action "Unstick from source" it works, the particles separate and go away. It doesn't work for me, they get up with their teeth but they come back as if they were attracted by a force. Could you help me? great job and thank you so much!

Thank you for the kind comments. You're welcome. There seems to be a bug in the latest release of X-Particles that prevents the particles from following the surface when it deforms. The unsticking action relies upon the particles reaching the Field. But since they don't travel with the surface, they never reach the Field; hence the effect doesn't work. Hopefully, Insydium fixes that in the next release. Jesper

When I make a comment it is gone again in 3-4 minutes. What is going on?
@Velocitypeak3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ross. I don't know what's going on. I have received an email notification, but I don't see your comments(for this tutorial) on KZbin. Sometimes comments are flagged by KZbin and require review before they're published. But that's not the case here. They simply disappear. Perhaps there's something in the comment that triggers some algorithm for removal.

Thanks so much for this marvelous tutorial. So clever! You are a great teacher for multiple techniques. I have r19.068 so no fields. However, I found that there are multiple Falloff types including xpShaderFalloff and Torus. They work perfectly. I loved your idea of using the xpTriggerActions Modifier tab for the xpPhysical activations. Also I had major synch problems until I put the tube in an xpJoin.

@@donross7820 Thank you for the kind words. As always:-) Ah, there is more than one way to skin a cat. Thank you for sharing the Falloff types and the xpJoin. In general, the more curious you are, the more ways you'll find to solve problems. But there are more benefits. Because you solved the problems yourself instead of following steps precisely, you'll retain the knowledge better. You are more likely to understand why it works on a conceptual level with benefits that span beyond the original puzzle.
