@@kemosabbee2448 the pops happen when you let go of the throttle in N mode. It’s basically a safer version of anti lag to keep the turbo from spooling down

So im new to doing mods, got the N a couple months ago and just want some clarification on this whole turbo flutter thing. If i get a custom intake and you hear the flutter out of the turbo thats bad? But if you get the intake and bov and you hear the release from the bov then its ok of theirs a bit of flutter?
@TheSaekwan3 жыл бұрын
kind of a month late, but the N produces flutter noises from the factory, even with the stock BOV. I've honestly never really been able to pinpoint exactly where it comes from though, because sometimes I feel like I hear the flutter independent of the BOV, but it's only ever at low RPMs. Regardless though, unless your intake or BOV isn't secured properly, any flutter you hear should not be detrimental to any of its components

I like how beefy it look way, WAY, better than the OEM. One thing i don't like about HKS is the whistle sound of it. Looking for whoosh, stu tu tu, pop, PoP grawww.
@davidtranmedia5112 Жыл бұрын
Stu tu tu tu sound usually is boost hitting the blades of the turbo which I love that sound also and heard it was bad for the turbo. That's why my 1500hp turbo ss or even my centrifugal supercharged Lexus to this turbo Kona N I have I make sure it vents with no stu tu tu tu even tho I love it. FYI

@@davidtranmedia5112 WoW hi! It been a year, thanks for the info, i know why and i also know os bad for the turbo. But still i love the sound of Whoosh...from BOv followed by the stu tu tu tuu...and trough exhaust pra pa pa...grawwww... Whoosh, stu tu tu...you get the idea. 🤪

Do you require a tune off of this? Dayum being dct ur getting pops. Cause of the borla?
@TheSaekwan3 жыл бұрын
No, the DCT pops just like the 6-speed N does. It's just that the muffler on the DCT N's is made by a different vendor and produce a quieter exhaust note compared to the manual N
@flat4wankel3 жыл бұрын
@@TheSaekwan oh i know that i have a white 2021 in dct and yes im aware the manual is louder. Im asking by getting the borla catback, will fix that? We know for a fact that oem exhaust manual vs dct, manual is louder on the pops and crackles
@TheSaekwan3 жыл бұрын
@@flat4wankel Yes, the Borla exhaust system will make the car much louder. It’s a whole catback system, it has no resonator and only has a muffler on the driver side exhaust tip. Once you put the car in N mode, the car basically becomes straight-piped

I know this is a month later, but I just realized you asked "how" did I take the fake tips off, and not "did" I take the fake tips off. Sorry for not reading your question properly, but I had a shop take the tips off when I got my muffler delete done, there's a screw on the backside of the tips that hold them on the diffusor
