I really wanted to like the Juke. I owned a 2011 AWD with a CVT. It just drove like an economy car while getting the fuel economy of a hot hatch. That was driving it conservatively. I traded it for a WRX as soon as I could.

Love honda and nissan( have no experience with hyndai). But i have to give it to honda for staying true to NA motors. They have numerous motors putting out 100+ hp per liter, pretty impressive imo. Not a big forced induction fan myself. The s2000 was( not sure if it still is) the highest powered production NA 4 cylinder.

I'm actually in the market right now for a new car, and really like the aggressive look of the Veloster Turbo. I took the Juke out for a test drive and it's a pretty nice car as well, but for the overall oomph, I am leaning towards the Veloster. Big fan of that "Vitamin C" color as well.

Manny Macfly I have one, too! Only complaint I have is there is a weird hiss (not the turbo sound) when I'm slowing down. Hyundai refuses to acknowledge it, but my girlfriend and I (we carpool) hear it every morning...even over the great sound system. Other than that, it's great. I have one that looks just like the one int he video. The metallic red is beautiful.

good review. since im in america, pricing might be a little different but i think you can get the veloster turbo for alot cheaper than the other 2. that being said, it does have many shortcomings like you mentioned, Hyundai has a clean sheet when it comes to sporty cars, its a very fun car. i won't bash the other 2 cars because i like them too, but i have the veloster turbo and its a pretty good car. thanks for the review.

I don't get all the hate about the Juke's look; it is much different when you look at it personally rather than browsing videos and pictures, and you can easily squeeze 20-25 horsepower out of turbocharged engines by just tuning the ECU. Have you had a chance to drive the Civic Si with the HPD package? if so, did you feel the upgrades it has?

What makes you think that Canadians are moving away from the sedan though? If anything, I'd say they might be moving towards crossovers and compact SUVs. Have a Nissan rogue, and knows the handling already. Will consider nismo rs if possible, really like the shape. I used to own a versa hatchback, that small car drives good too, so I am confident about the Juke. Some ppl complain about cvt, I don't like it neither, but don't have any choice. They won't put 7 speed auto tranny on a 20k car. Hope the better version of Juke--- infiniti Juke could save this, and I am in!

Yes the brakes are bigger, the rotors and the calipers. And the suspension was changed as well. My dad got the N/A one and I was looking into the turbo one. Big difference.

+PaRe Slinky Well the veloster has 3 doors idk why they did that but because of that it's easier to access the backseats and plus the veloster trunk is basically connected with the backseat, when you open the trunk door you can easily access the backseat so if you wanted to make space then yeah you could easily lay down the backseat so its all one big trunk space but the Genesis coupe you can't it feels smaller because you still have to push the seat forward to get in the backseat, the trunk space isn't that big either.

Yea definitely a shitty review and Honda is going to HAVE to start force inducting their vehicles or they are going to end up like Toyota boring as shit I don't know about you guys I would hand over fist take a Honda civic so with the same engine it has now with high rpm redline etc.. With a factory turbo kit pushing a low 8-10psi.. And I'm saying it's bullshit because my Juke Nismo RS can easily do 240km/h and it feels very smooth doing it almost like it was made to do that speed.... But to answer your question, yes it goes much faster then 240km/h, I have a stand alone system installed therefore I have no speed limiter however the speedometer only goes up to 240km/h therefore once I pass 240km/h I don't know how fast I'm going lol.

I can't find the exact source, but when you take a vehicle that is sold as both sedan and hatch (eg, the Mazda 3, Impreza, etc), the percentage of sales attributed to the hatch tends to be much higher in Canada than the U.S., and the gap is getting bigger. I do agree with your compact SUV comment though, as I recently ordered a Crosstrek for myself--lol.

For people who really know about cars (history, engineering, sentiment etc), they will go with Nissan any day. Why?..Because Nissan is the oldest car producer in the world that has a phenomenal track record for making the finest engineered vehicles that run forever. There are tons of 1970's and 80's Datsuns still running like champs with an average of over 600,000 miles and much more across Asia, South America, Caribbean and Middle East. The folks in Malaysia, Philippines, Saudi, India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Indonesia, etc will all know what I'm talking about.

Agreed in the 70s and 80s, they made great cars but then financial issues hit and the world went global so now they share parts with a french company (not known for reliabilty), their boss is more business person than car guy, and they're made in all parts of the world. If you are going to get a juke though and can afford a top spec but not quite a nismo, try and go for the tekna, leather interior, heated seats, I just ordered mine in black with red accents and the "ugly" effect that it has isn't really there with that colour scheme going on.

fucking nonsense.....They all had no idea how to tune or what they were doing. I daily drove mine (its sold now) for 8 fucking years, not stock put 100k miles on it and nothing other than normal fwd suspension wear and tear were ever a problem. I know of several people making over 300whp who have well north of 100K miles on them with no issues. The 2.4L in that car is beefed up from the factory and can handle 450hp on stock internal just fine. So in the end in my car after prob. 3,000 pulls it was still running like a champ.
