I really like the song, the instrumentals are upbeat but with a tinge of melancholy. I looked up the lyrics and it also seems to share this sort of ambiguity. They are looking back at the past and urging themselves to not lose sight of their authentic self while striving towards the "someday" in the future. I wonder who the "her" in the song refers to - is it a symbol for the challenges they faced as a band, or a specific person? The "fuck you" at the end of the song seems like catharsis towards this past struggle with "her", they're acknowledging that the past cannot be changed ("there's no way my words will ever reach you") while moving on. I don't know if this is the intended meaning, but this is my interpretation of it - a retrospective but hopeful song that acts both as a story between two people's breakup but also a story about the band itself.
