Velux skylight installation the essentials for a waterproof skylight

Any tips on round sky light tube - mine got hit by hail 5yrs ago and now has a pot covering it to stop rain - I couldnt find the exact diameter of the plastic cover - it's nice to get daylight into the bathroom - though worried with some hail a couple of times has damaged solar panels near cricket ball size! The worrying thing is a round probably 450mm diameter acrylic dome in the kitchen luckily not been damaged yet - how do these skylights handle cricket ball size hail?
