This show featured a few “deep tracks” from the past with very special guest, saxophonist Eric Person. This was the live performance premiere of two legendary recordings, “Black for the Gold” and “Velvet Underground.” Both songs were recorded but never performed live and feature Eric on soprano sax.
Eric has an impressive resume performing/recording with jazz legends Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, Houston Person, John Hicks, and many others. Eric also has played with innovative and genre-bending musicians Vernon Reid, Ronald Shannon Jackson, Will Calhoun, Ben Harper, and Bright Dog Red.
